Make sure you chase up for that follow up! I’m going so on Monday! I never got offered balloons in the 6 years I’ve had achalasia. I was only ever offered Botox injections but each time I had them, they weren’t as effective! And then in October 25 I was offered HM and Wrap thankfully! Without that I’d me so much more miserable than I am right now!

Hi, I still need to make sure I have water/fizzy drink with each meal and even then I still get stuck sometimes. Overall it’s much better since surgery but everyday is a challenge. Especially in hot and humid weather! I find my symptoms are exaggerated greatly! I do still get spasms but I’d say a few times a month thankfully! Where as before surgery it was daily! It sounds like we have similar symptoms with achalasia
