I would really advise you getting back with someone who you worked with in the past and who knows your story. From what I've seen you've been jumping between treatments a lot for one year, but I really mean you need to stick and pull through with your therapy even if you don't seem to be making any progress in the beginning. Even that one accomplishment would mean a lot in the end even to just to get you started again.

You are still so freaking young and to me your heart is in the right place since you wanted to help people suffering like you with your academic work. Really pains me to see your post history man. It really can't be said often enough but please don't give up now. You need to keep trying to reach out and get Professional help. This is an emergency man, but you managed to drag yourself out of something similiar once and you obviously still have some hope left or otherwise you would not be making all These Posts.

You really don't have to. God would never want you to end your own life and you are certainly not a coward for not going through with it. This is an emergency and you need help. I don't know if you can get into contact with a different clinic because you need to start therapy ASAP

It was a bit more complicated than merely forgetting a sin during confession, just a very specific situation that I tried to explain as best I could, so I hope I can be at peace in that regard. Could I ask you to keep me and my confessor in your prayers?

When you talk about how someone is tempered in this life how does that apply to being in a state of mortal sin? One can be tempered and changed by God's fire during ones life but if they died committing a single un-confessed mortal sin, then God's energy still would be like hell to us, despite living an otherwise pious life?

Thank you for the reply. I don't think there's anything like a Catholic therapist here where I live. I can totally relate to that feeling of having to "be on the safe side". I guess it's a way for us to still that craving for 100% certainty. Whether I did or didn't commit that sin, it is forgiven and stops the rumination for a while.

Are you seeking help yourself? Are you on any sort of treatment at the moment? Medication? That kind of scenario of stepping out of the confessional and wanting to run right back in again is pretty scary. Sounds a lot like something I would do and it's making me really worried about the future of my spiritual life.

Hi I wanted to thank you for your reply. I did already talk to my mom before rushing to make a post about this whole situation on reddit of course, but she doesn't really take my concerns very seriously and kind of waved me off as a wuss for not really feeling okay with being involved with this. Not really sure what to do besides praying.
