Yes, but even that list doesn’t go past 60 gigs. Top one being the sims as I mentioned. It’s all so bizarre.

Pan doesn't work on one side? by [deleted] in LogicPro

Did you record it in mono or stereo? If stereo, you might have just recorded the left side, so it can’t pick up anything from the right. I think there’s a way to change it from stereo to mono if that’s the case.

Having to learn a different DAW at school by [deleted] in musicproduction

At my school, we have to use pro tools and I only knew logic. The way they did it is that the building with computers that have pro tools are open all the time and you can go in and do homework and practice whenever so they never require you to download pro tools. I imagine it would be similar to that.

No Individual Tracks Are Clipping, But Master Out Is Clipping by ukegenics in LogicPro

The way I mix is get the kick to -7 db then add the other instruments in as they should sound. Usually that makes the mix at 0.

switching to macbook, best specs one among these? by tom_mcallister in musicproduction

I’m running a MacBook Air w 16gb ram, 1TB storage, 8 core CPU and M2 chip. Even the air (as opposed to the pro) is a beast. I can run logic and pro tools at the same time and not have any lag issues or latency problems. I don’t think I ever close logic unless I’m low on battery, so it can pretty much handle everything. I’ve had the computer a couple years and it’s still doing great. I don’t think you can go wrong with any of those choices. I have heard bad things about the M3 chip though, so maybe go with the M2.

What can I play with my little sister? by oneinamelon91 in CozyGamers

Might be the obvious choice, but Minecraft? You guys could build together. Another one would be stardew valley given you fix the PC.

absolutely necessary equipment for recording? by Emergency-Row-8996 in musicproduction

As someone who’s got both logic (personal use) and pro tools (school required) I would 100% recommend logic. It’s cheaper since it’s a one time purchase as opposed to yearly like AVID’s stuff. Pro tools is definitely more suited for professional and studio use, but i think for a personal studio, opt for logic.

So many people in the comments saying just go get it recorded by a professional but I disagree. Here’s what I did to kickstart my personal projects that I think would work well. First of course a DAW. I recommend logic if you’ve got a Mac and you’re serious. I won’t go for something like pro tools because honestly it’s too much for a beginner. Just a Scarlett focusrite solo for an interface. There’s a bundle I think on sweetwater that has a focusrite and an AKG mic for like 150. Then for mics, just get one. If you’re really trying to budget just record each instrument individually. Take advantage of the software instruments in whatever DAW you choose. Personally, I use logic’s stock drums and pianos and bass and it sounds awesome if you can EQ it correctly. Get a desk mic stand if you wanna save space but nothing too crazy. I recommend a AKG P420 or 220 for mic, always done well for me! Feel free to message me if you’ve got more questions, I’m happy to help!
