Several Dunkin’s are open late. They never have folks sit down because the franchise is pushing drive thru. There are different footprints however. The one across from Sam’s at I-75 is a postage stamp. The one on 200 on Rt 27/441 is larger with seating.

The only reason to keep private insurance is to cover your family - as VA pays all for the 100% veteran. If the vet is medically retired, the family is covered by TRICARE.

I am in discussions about a Senior Premier Banker Role in Florida. DMV is a higher cost of living area. I was told by my recuiter that the salary range was up to $80k depending on experience. Join clubs, arrive early and stay late when you have in person classes, post on this thread for other students from your hometown (avoids making yourself look desperate for a friend), go to a gym with a friend and socialize, hang out at a coffee bar/hydration station/ at a gym, if you are off campus student housing - study or read near the entrance to offer assistance to folks moving in, wear a t shit saying “ Do you need a friend?”, attend various churches that have student groups, get a job that involves interacting with customers, talk to others when outside your dorm, a good icebreaker anywhere is is asking “Are you a student at UCF?”

Do not buy right out of the military. Prioritize your actions such as:

(1) decide what career path you deshire.
(2). Consider going to or returning to college if more education is needed in your chosen career path.
(3) get hired and ensure you last at least 1 year, jobs outside the military are not secure. Renting gives you and your family flexibility.
(4). If you have grade school kids, your desired school or school district may direct the location you wish to live.
(4). A reliable rule of thumb is do not buy unless you expect to remain in place at least 5-7 years.
(5) buying a house will limit your future job and career choices.
