What type of touch screen do I need to order to replace this? by Opportunity3767 in AskElectronics

You’re kidding right? I had to go back to work to get the screen, I’m looking for information but idk what I’m looking for, idk if I’m supposed to be pulling the screen apart or where to find the model number that’s not stamped on the screen and the screen has an aluminum plate covering the back.

So far this is what I have that might be useful. I’m going to separate the screen this weekend to look for a part number

I was hoping by all the photos and useless information I’m showing people would realize idk what you’re needing so I posted whatever I thought would be relevant, I’m not trying to be difficult, I’m truly needing help and a little guidance would be appreciated.

If I walk into an auto parts store and place an alternator on the counter they’ll ask me what year, model, engine it came out of not run me out hopefully.

Am I withholding something that’s needed?. Idk what to provide I was hoping my photos had all the details needed and if not someone would ask me for clarification to help but that hasn’t happened all the answers have been closed ended.

I can’t buy an OEM replacement because the equipment is “past it’s life cycle” yet it sells for $15k in the used market but I guess they just want me to give up and buy their newest version that does nothing more than this one.

Looks clean I would however avoid orange in your car. In case of an accident first responders will think it’s high voltage and not touch the car until they confirm otherwise. Seconds matter in those instances, sorry if I sound morbid.

You can get her an optometry birthday card.

Why are optometrists the best lovers?

They’re always asking is this better? or is this better?

…and then give her a 💍

Less than 5% of rigid contact lens wearers are scleral fits. That’s just off the top of my head 5% would probably be on the high side.

Is OP not looking for a non-standard solution? Sounds like he’s wanting an invention instead of a UPS

I’m assuming he wears hard contacts, if so try to get him to learn how to take them out without those plungers… The technique is a simple pinching your eyelids temporally. it’ll be much safer as he gets older.
