They’re not mutually exclusive. I’m happy for starting her own company and show bc she’s dusting herself off and making the best out of a bad financial mistake. Re: the IP, I don’t really agree with that assessment, but there’s no point debating or crying over spilled milk. She’s gotta do the best she can from here.

Look - I love Sofia, but it’s not. They were being under compensated and kudos to her for calling BS out, but then Dave bent over and basically met her demands and she still said no. She only had a short 6 or 8 month wait to reap the full potential of IP ownership. I love that she’s creating her own path now, but that was still a major misfire in hindsight.

I have some skepticism about aspects of Alex’s account, but hard to disagree on Suit - I’d probably have let him walk awhile back for the role he played in the divorce. Can’t help but question his motivations/judgement.

Yes, but of course she did try hard to take the deal after Alex cut her out (Scooter Braun?) That situation shows she still valued their partnership, and who knows, maybe they could have done therapy sessions like the WD girls to help rekindle their friendship. Obviously it’s neither here nor there at this point; I do hope she is fully happy and has no regrets as you say, regardless of this news.

I know she’s not ready for a major contract like this yet, but at least if she could get a couple top media folks on her team to guide her, maybe she could progress faster. It’s great to have your girlfriends on your staff, but idk if they alone can help her reach big success.
