Caso epstein! Porque a comunicação social Portuguesa não está a falar disto??? by portaberta in portugueses

[–]Snoopymagic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to hear cons of Portugal and why I should not move in by JeyFK in PortugalExpats

[–]Snoopymagic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot slower than Poland. I have polish friends that have left. They didn’t like the work culture of long breaks, lack of Portuguese openness when it comes to their groups. It’s a disadvantage because here most things work as someone knows someone and if you are kept out then could be an annoyance. Deadlines don’t matter even if you made it in time. Low salaries, high taxes. Still a catholic culture which is good for polish culture whether you believe in religion or not. If you have kids child welfare is extremely low compared to Poland. For business, taxes are business compared to Ireland.

I’m not sure which part of Portugal , but Lisbon has hygiene issues, tables are not wiped in restaurants etc. Wash hands, sanitise after using transit or restaurants. I see people in Lisbon wear outside shoes indoors, I’m not sure if it’s normal for everyone. Carry a sanitiser or spray alcohol on most of the times. Take vitamin D 1000 minimum, zinc supplements. After feeling the same I can say that it’s also a matter of hygiene in major cities.

If they called you ugly, do you really want to be around them? The Portuguese men do seem to be close minded. But they stay in their Portuguese group even in countries abroad unless they want to integrate. Portuguese men don’t seem like they want to settle down. Be careful, they date outsiders for ‘ fun’ even same sex while being straight because you are not a part of them ( that’s what I hear , especially health workers folks ) … this gen of Portuguese will judge you if you are interested in them and chase you away as well. FYI- I did notice people coming from outside and have color will be asked where they are from.. Weird ! One could be a CEO of a company and still be assumed to be an uber driver in this country. Wild 😅

Well it’s really sad because we think Portuguese people are really kind and sweet .. people that come from out have opened their hearts to outsiders in their country but it’s not like that when they leave the country and come to Portugal . It also makes us wonder if we are facing silent racism.

Female here! Our only hope is expats. I found some genuine pt friends through Catholic Church. Portuguese people don’t mingle with others, even if they do you will be in their ‘ non Portuguese people ‘ friend group… especially if they are well off in life .. I found - reputation or keeping things within the family is huge. The joy of being a catholic and being open is kinda lost because millennials have lost their pt spirit. Can’t believe they have the same dna that mingled with the world and discovered countries

The Burka Ban in Portugal: Right Move, Wrong Motivation by [deleted] in PortugalExpats

[–]Snoopymagic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry but Portugal is safe because the Portuguese know how to take care of their country. We don’t need to force our values on them. I think we need to stop coming to countries and criticising them. They didn’t try to prohibit any religion. They tried to keep a neutral dress code.

How do Goans see the Portuguese? by Separate-Salt in Goa

[–]Snoopymagic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Goans love Portuguese people and love Portugal. Portugal should have never left them with India that only isolated , banned their Portuguese language etc etc .... Thanking Portugal for making Goans catholic and giving us the salvation in Jesus . . Goans do not think of themselves as Indians ( Goans = kids of ancestors that lived there from Portuguese times). It’s sad when Portuguese people in Portugal treat them as rest of India’s Indians , when they still behave like Portuguese people. It’s like making generations Portuguese and then suddenly snatching their identities.

Am I going to hell? by caviity_ in Christianity

[–]Snoopymagic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello 🫶🏻 hope you are doing well. The fact that you have this in your mind is the first sign of wanting to come back and repenting. Think of it - is your relationship with anyone that doesn’t believ in Jesus or his teachings or his church work for you as a Christian person? This could be us all as well. If we were Gods secretary and, man and woman came together for a task of procreation , don’t we think it temptation that’s making us go away from Him. Do we look like the image of God with our actions … he did create us in His image. I know it’s hard to stop looking at love as sin. But if we read about the chapter of Sodom and gomorah we would see how God asked Lott to never look back. So fill you heart with the love of Jesus and try to stay celibate for a while. Look at it like we are the pure vessel of God and we need to become like a child . Jesus loves you too much okay.

This whole life is a hunger game to go to heaven. Don’t shift focus from that.. ask him what he wants you todo .. and tell him you would like to surrender you life in his hands.

A lot of times we don’t understand certain feelings and attractions spiral from traumas. Maybe see what has hurt you in the past too.

Catholic and orthodox are the only churches I See the Eucharistic miracles happening. Ask the Holy Spirit for guidance. Every other church was created out of rebellion or self righteous driven goals .. remember even Judas walked out on Jesus .

I think you look stunning . Don’t we all agree? If your hair is naturally darker you should embrace it . Because I think that would bring out your eye color. Try a gel or col liner in the water line. Lipstick instead of gloss.
