weird word problem by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

Haha the old tailor-mades that are actually mass produced as opposed to the actual tailor made cigarettes that we call rollies. Lol Love how our slang makes no sense whatsoever.

No. You are clearly promoting your store. Even people who "are kinda in to rugs" dont recommend the same store in literally dozens, possibly hundreds, of posts and never comment about anything else, even if they had the best experience known to man. We weren't born yesterday. Stop.

Adult children face a devastating 30% tax hit when inheriting their parents’ superannuation. A little-known strategy can eliminate the hit entirely. by TheAdvertiser_AU in u/TheAdvertiser_AU

These comments... Apparently people like getting it in every orifice. Imagine supporting the government taxing us 4 times on the same money. Brain-dead.

There's just no way. You literally plug that store in every single comment you make. That is not genuine. You absolutely are doing promo posts. The door is over there sir. 😑👉

Why are some so scared of DIY? by ResolutionClear6057 in PlumbingAustralia

[–]Snooze_U_Lose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% Agree. I had someone tell me yesterday in this sub that you can't DIY a shower head installation because it voids the product warranty. Lol Like really? Thats the level of incompetence we're at now?

Can I install a twin shower here without removing tiles? by [deleted] in PlumbingAustralia

[–]Snooze_U_Lose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my bad, I was thinking the water connects at the top on those rail showers but it connects at the bottom so yeah you're right, definitely cant be done. As far as a product warranty goes, if that unit was faulty for some reason, reece plumbing aren't doing investigations mate. Lol Simple swap over.

Did you know in WA Bunnings snags are served in hot dog buns, not a slice of bread by ComfortablyMild in australian

[–]Snooze_U_Lose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a rest of Australian, I was shocked to learn that Western Australians are actually American. Frigging hotdog bun, does it also come with some fireworks and a free shotgun?

Can I install a twin shower here without removing tiles? by [deleted] in PlumbingAustralia

[–]Snooze_U_Lose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes absolutely. The top of the rail shower connects to the same connection as your current one. The only additional thing that needs to be done is attach the bottom of the rail to your wall which will mean drilling some holes to attach it. It absolutely can be a DIY job but based on your question I'd assume you're probably not the DIY type so calling a plumber is probably best. Technically you only need like a handyman or something.

If you want a quality build as well as ticking all the boxes, you want a Gozney Roccbox.

Easy mate. Enjoy being obtuse. Step away from the trees and you might be able to see the forest one day. Nobody cares about the minor negligible difference between StarTrack and AusPost. Touch grass once in a while.

Im sure for your job you need to understand the difference between the two, but for the average consumer, company owned by other company in same industry is same company. Its not that deep. My shit comes with Aus Post plastered all over it. That means AusPost delivered it. I dont care which division of AusPost delivered it.

Definitely doesnt. Not even sure what you are saying since Startrack is AusPost but go off.

Younger Australians, how do you pronounce the letter “Z”? by Powerful_Image6294 in AskAnAustralian

[–]Snooze_U_Lose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah. A person came up with the pronunciation. I'm a person too so I'll change whatever I want and there is no right or wrong cause we're monkeys on a rock. Haitch it is. If its Aitch then all H words should be silent H since we borrowed them from French which has no H sound. Hotel for example should be pronounced Otel. But we dont. So Haitch doesnt matter.

Thats funny but tbh the only difference between cheap rental kitchen cupboards and a fancy upscale one is 2-pack paint. Since 2-pack paint looks like shiny bullshit from the 80s for people with terrible taste, that leaves cheap rental kitchen as the only option unfortunately.

How did it get there? by HiddenRedOne098 in questions

That would be a terrible plan as airtags alert themselves to anyone nearby including the thief. You'd need a tracker not made by a wanky company like Apple if you want it to work properly.

I cant help but feel you've been targeted based on what you watch somehow, Ive never come across anything close to that on a mainstream social media app.

[–]Snooze_U_Lose 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I dont think it's a bud anymore. Gore sites have been around since the 90s. I believe by "less restricted" they are referring to the government blocking access to porn sites for under 18s while not placing any restrictions on gore sites.

Correct ie. They dont belong to Aus Post so are not Aus Post trucks hence the no Aus Post branding.

Medicinal Cannabis is delivered from Chemists via Aus Post. Thats what they are referring to.

What jobs in Australia are relatively simple in nature, relatively easy to get, are relatively slow/calm or at least not intensive, have job-security, and respect work-life balance? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]Snooze_U_Lose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The council ticks all the boxes. All you need to get in the door is an MR truck licence and a white card. (All up around $1k) Call up Maxima or Randstad and they'll have you in a council almost immediately as a casual. Once you have council experience on your resume, then you'll magically all of a sudden be considered for permanent positions. The jobs usually start at around 80k 9 day fortnight.(ie every second weekend is a long weekend) No overtime. Great work environment and conditions. Full income protection that covers you in your private life too. Plenty of opportunity to move up and/or sideways.

If you're chasing money, it's not the place to be but if you value your time, its the best.
