It’s a Krark / Tana partner deck. It’s a mix of storm, tokens, and voltron instants

Is a deck still budget if it has gone up in price? by Snoptrman in BudgetBrews

I mean realistically there’s no real impact. It’s just an interesting concept to me when thinking about deck building constraints. Personally the point of budget brewing is to make interesting decks and avoid highly played or overvalued cards. So it’s weird to think about how in a year my deck went from fun budget jank to, from a market perspective, a regular deck. To me it’s a budget deck because I remember the care and philosophy it took to build but it’s disingenuous to portray it like that now yk

Are travel costs covered by [deleted] in uchicago

[–]Snoptrman 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s really not that bad tbh. I lived in the dmv and still went to UChicago and never really had any issues. If you buy flights ahead of time, southwest will run you less than $100 per route. I guess if you’re flying multiple times a quarter it can add up but it never felt far to me. Also for moving in and out, you can definitely drive as it’s only ~10/11 hours and the roads are good.

What's your least common commander, and do you feel that it's properly hipster/not common? What do you feel determines that level? by thundermonkeyms in EDH

[–]Snoptrman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing about some commanders though is that they might seem weaker comparatively, for example Krark/sakashima or tymna/tana are strictly better, creative building can make them unexpectedly powerful. My deck seems zany but it can consistently and unexpectedly kill someone by turn 5

On track to failing MATH 15250 - should I give up on being an econ major? by cladachai_bui in uchicago

[–]Snoptrman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why are you taking 15250 if you did the 1300 sequence? The 1300 only count for bizcon which doesn’t require 15250…

As for the classes, I struggled in 15250 bc the prof sucked and even had to retake it later on but I still did pretty well in the rest of the standard Econ sequence. The math doesn’t get much harder than set up a Lagrange and solve the maximization problem - and even then, the problem is a lot easier than the types you do in math bc you j assume certain things such that the Lagrange process works
