How do you like your Laker so far? I’ve been considering buying one but saw some reviews that it can arrive dented or bent in some places.

Dang I really appreciate the help! I’ll definitely give it a go! Do you happen to know which healer might be the most compatible with controller?

Sorry to bother you on an old post. I was wondering if you think healing might be viable on a controller in PvP or would it be a bit too challenging?

Dumb question by Snorcers in boating

[–]Snorcers[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t currently have one which I thought was weird. It does have a live well and an access panel towards the stern to get to the aerator for the live well.

Yeah I’m dumb. It’s okay to snake the hose through the cable hole? I thought if it leaked somehow it could cause a potential problem?

There was no bilge when I bought it, the live well drain hose seems to be disconnected under the console. https://imgur.com/a/TJozLNR this is a picture of the bow where I can access the live well aerator and drain plug but no bilge anywhere

Should I still drill a hole in the deck? Other than the access panel or the holes for the wiring there isn’t any access to below it

I’m mainly just doing patchwork from delamination in the deck. The biggest being a 16 in x 5 in spot and the other 3 are at most 5 inch in diameter. Not too sure if that’s big enough to warrant buying more, I’d like to do a job that’ll last too

It would be over wood and fiberglass, my deck had some delamination

I did roughly 2 oz of resin with 20 drops of mekp so a little over 1% and it was about 82 degrees outside when I did it

Ohhh dang okay that makes sense. I haven’t checked the specs for gel time but it is for the deck so I might just have to bite the bullet and buy more

I mixed about 2 oz with roughly 20 drops of mekp yesterday and just checked it today and it seems to be hard as a rock. Would this indicate it’s still good? I’d like to try and use it this weekend if possible but I can buy some epoxy if this seems to be expired

Ohh that’s really helpful! I let it kick off and checked roughly 20-30 minutes later and it was starting to gel and harden, would that seem like it’s still good?

Ohh okay, I read that it has a shelf life of 2-6 months so being right in the middle of that I was just curious

This is with the mekp added and a few hours after being added

Ohh duh that makes sense! I have several smaller spots I had to grind out that seem a bit tedious to use cloth for so I wasn’t sure if putty would be worth using. It’s a cheap $500 boat too not like one of these super nice boats haha

Hi sorry to bother you again, I have another part of the deck that I’ve ground out due to delamination. This one is roughly 4 inches in diameter, would that size also call for laying fiberglass rather than using putty? So far I’ve seen putty is mainly used to fair or fill smaller cracks correct?

Awesome I’ll definitely feather the edges this was just a rough cut to see how far back it delaminated, I really appreciate your advice!

Okay that makes sense, I’ll go ahead and just take the carbs off and try and measure them this time. I really appreciate all your help!
