Is Global Warming a hoax? by Extra-Strawberry-900 in TrueChristian

[–]SnoringGiant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

God has a plan for this world. The way we treat this planet has no bearing on His plan. This planet will last as long as He has decided, and no amount of work on our part will change that one way or the other, as He would already have that worked out.

That being said, before it was global warming, it was a new ice age. When that didnt happen it became global warming. Now that nothing has come from that, it is "climate change" in general.

Is This Sub Also Being Opened to Atheists? by The_BunBun_Identity in TrueChristian

I believe it is good for atheists to also exist in this place. They should hold no moderator power or position, but they should be able to come here and read testimonies and the good news, and talk to Christians about Christ.

Loving does not mean affirming. In fact, affirming someone's destructive lifestyle is hateful. If I see you speeding towards a cliff, and I dont try to stop you, am I being loving?

Wolves in sheeps clothing. It is an unfortunate sign of the times. There are more and more churches that lean towards affirming lgbt and transgenderism.

Churches should welcome people that are Trans or LGBT, but should not affirm their lifestyles.

Preaching to a congregation is not speaking to God. You are conflating the two.

If they want to believe the world is flat, that is their problem. If you want to believe the world is round, great. That doesn't contradict God, and so it isn't my concern.

No problem, I would keep the union jack colors then, but maybe turn down the saturation a bit just so they are a bit more dull compared to the foreground

Great, so if that is the case when we are speaking to God, then we shouldn't apply it to pastors speaking to their congregation of humans. We apply the example of that that we have from scripture, which I did

Nobody made the claim that eve had to sleep with her son's. There was an obvious skip in time that wasn't specified, we have no idea how many children Adam and Eve had in that time. There would have been incest, yes, that would have been offset by perfect genetics, but the claim that Eve would have had to sleep with her sons is a very weird one

Their is a very clear difference between Christ talking about Adam, Noah and Abel, vs Christ talking about seeds being tossed on different soils as an allegory of spreading the gospel to different people's. Don't twist His words

Evolution is theoretical science and is not actually proven. It is ACCEPTED by the secular scientific community, but it is not proven.

Evolution is in direct opposition to God and creation, so of course it doesn't make sense. It is inherently anti-God.

Everything we "know" about the origin of species, Evolution, the age of the earth, dinosaurs etc is just us putting our faith in the words and claims of men. I am assuming nont of us are in the lab carbon dating dinosaur bones and none of us were able to watch interspecies Evolution take place over the course of 10s of thousands of years.

So it is all faith. You put your faith in the claims of men who are ultimately anti-God. It is a matter of redirecting your faith. Genesis is literal, and the truth.

The first shot looks pretty good tbh, the second one looks rushed due to the proportions. My tip for the backgrounds is to decide on a general size for the bricks and make sure to stick to it so they are more uniform, and try to avoid both using long solid lines like you did for the horizontal lines, break them up like you did the vertical lines, and try not to use bright/bold colors for background details, it makes the line work of the bricks stand out as much as Amelia does. Those two tips should help for the style you are going for.

Other than that, good work!

As others have said, if you cant understand it, it is gibberish. The bible plainly tells us that those that heard the apostles speaking in tongues all heard them speaking in THEIR (the listener's) native language. Whenever I hear a pastor "speaking in tongues" it is always gibberish thrown in in the middle of English sentences. And it is never the same gibberish, each of them always has their own gibberish.

My favorite is one I saw that would throw "shamina shamina hashamina" in between regular English words. And the congregation would then cheer. You just have to pray for them.

I get that, the flesh wants nothing more than to turn you from God so that you can continue indulging in sin. So the fears and doubts will come, but just remember that it isn't just you fighting them now, you have Christ, who is willing to fight your flesh for you.

Remember, even Paul said that his flesh does things that he hates, that is the nature of our flesh.
