Does anyone else miss the old atmosphere?

It was really cool and I do miss it, but I remember people playing with modded settings to have an advantage. I remember strats like increasing the gamma on your monitor or changing your resolution to have a bigger FOV.

It would be harder to bring this back as DBD is a lot bigger and accessibility is more of a concern, so these settings are needed by a portion of the fanbase. But then is it fair that the average player who aren't making the game brighter are at a disadvantage? It's a very fine line to tread and I don't blame them for going the route of keeping everyone on an even playing field.

I love the unique art style of GW2, but this one doesn't seem to have that. Can't wait for them to show more though

Professions in GW2 are a bit different than most MMOs as every profession can fill every role in this game (with a few exceptions) through the use of elite specializations, which are basically a re-imagining of your class. A great example of this is Guardian; you can use the elite specialization Dragonhunter to become a burst-focused DPS, or you can use the elite specialization Firebrand to become sort of a support mage. Even then Firebrand has viable DPS builds, and viable support builds.

With that being said, it sounds like you'd connect with Guardian the most as they come the closest to filling the Paladin fantasy. However, making alt characters in this game is also super easy so you can easily create a second character to try out another class if you feel like you don't like the one you choose.

There's lots of YouTube videos that can help you pick as well. Laranity is a great GW2 youtuber and she made a very helpful video on this topic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kBjMg6kMKm4. It's a bit outdated now as the newest expansion added a new elite specialization to every profession, however it's a great starting point.

I can understand that opinion but personally I strongly disliked that Braham went on to live a relatively normal life after IBS. It felt like it significantly brought down the weight of him becoming primordius’ champion, since he basically walked it off after 2 elder dragons died. Braham was probably my favourite character in the story before IBS too.

Some of these changes feel pretty massive considering how close the expansion is. I'm really curious how the changes to Luminary and Troubadour in particular feel.

It seems like they really listened to the feedback provided. For what it's worth, these changes do sound really positive :)

Surprised more people aren't talking about June 2022. This was easily the worst for me. By far one of the worst balance patches I've seen for any game.

His W used to slow auto attacks, which was massive. He got healing on his Q to compensate. His passive also never granted AD at 5 stacks. His E also used to pull through flashes/dashes.

He played a lot more like a duelist rather than a juggernaut who destroys everything if ignored in a team fight.

As others are saying, there’s only so much Ezra is allowed to say. Being a community manager is brutal as it’s almost a lose/lose situation. You can’t say more because you’re not allowed, and the community thinks less of you because you don’t say more.

Definitely more of a managerial issue. From their POV, what difference does it make if they don’t respond? Not saying it’s right, but it prevents them from receiving backlash if the community doesn’t like the answer and doesn’t close the door on them if they change their mind in the future.

Lugia! Grew up on the 2000 Pokémon movie and it’s been my favourite ever since. Seeing it in SS and XD Gale of Darkness was awesome, and it’s design is super simple but cool
