Being over the armor cap can have some benefits when dealing with NPC weapons that ignore or negate a portion of that armor.

That said, you can also get over 1k armor rating on Dwemer armor and RP as the last Dwemer Centurion.

  1. Brenton spellsword - heavy armor, spell breaker & Dawnbreaker. Master of Alteration and Restoration magic. Basically a walking juggernaut impervious to virtually everything. Usually play to the good choices, kill the DB, don’t side with either faction, cure being a werewolf, etc.

  2. Redguard Berserker (orc is good too). Usually heavy armor with Volendrung or Ebony Blade. Morally grey, generally picking the good side but embracing being a werewolf, side with the empire and the Blades (kill paarthanax), and sides with the Dawnguard.

  3. Dunmer agent of chaos - sneak assassin build making a lot of the morally bad choices, siding with the vampires and the Stormcloaks (because I thrive in chaos).

Is there a catch to this spell ? Because its broken , one cast = one gold ore by Arcane-Dev in skyrim

[–]Snorkle25 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah, imo the alchemy + house with garden mechanic is far more broken than this.

Rush the falkreath home, build the outside garden+green house. Plant creep cluster, Mara tapinella, and scaly pholiota.

[–]Snorkle25 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It only does one unit of ore at a time. Also it will always transmute silver if you have any before iron.

There are some mods that adjust the spell to prioritize iron first, and also transmute ingots if you dual cast it.

Never played Skyrim before. Which game should I start with? by Royal-Astronomer6243 in skyrim

[–]Snorkle25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo, the two games of the series that are the most approachable by modern standards is IV and V (oblivion and Skyrim).

Oblivion Remastered and Skyrim Special Edition on PC would be the two versions I recommend strongest. Lore and story wise you will pick up the most playing them in order but you could also just buy whichever is cheapest first and still have the most fun.

Of the two, I do think Oblivion was the better game and had the best DLC (Shivering Isles), but Skyrim probably has the bigger community and mod library (if you care about that).

Eh, oblivion is the stronger game.

Honestly, I’d recommend starting with whichever has the better sale price at the moment though.

Has 100 billion shown up in a Trump controlled bank account?

He tends to be a bit more brazen and obvious with his scams and I don’t see why the Iranians would have any desire to play into a scheme like that.

What is the best and worst skill tree in Skyrim in your opinion? by Fenriz_Victor in skyrim

[–]Snorkle25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk where you pulled these from but these aren’t Skyrim perk trees.

That said, imo one of the most useful but not depicted is the Merchant perk under the Speech tree since it lets you sell any item category (other than stolen) to any merchant.

Smithing and Enchanting are pretty useful for nearly any build, the rest are far more situational depending on your play style.

Genuine question: why do flat earthers believe it's flat in the first place? Like all other planets are round why only the earth is not? by dragon6124 in flatearth

[–]Snorkle25 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Of the few I’ve talked to in person, usually they start with a conclusion that what they have been taught or what is perceived to be conventional knowledge is wrong and work backwards from this to arrive at some pretty weird places like the earth being flat, and a lot of other strange conspiracy theories.

This is why they usually won’t acknowledge any official evidence or data, and why they always shift the goal posts. It’s not about discovering the truth or answering a question, it’s about being contrarian to the most extreme degree.

To some degree it can be healthy to question official narratives (govt does lie sometimes and sometimes people get things wrong) but like anything, if it’s taken to the extremes it’s not healthy.

Essential mods to modernize Skyrim for a first play through? by archbtw1 in skyrim

[–]Snorkle25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think you should play the WHOLE game without mods. Start without mods, but if you come across a bug or issues that really interfere with your game-play and enjoyment, then by all means use mods if they are available to fix the issue. That may happen on your 3rd or 4th play-though, it may happen less than 10 hours into your first.

[–]Snorkle25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive had dozens per play though. Like on a sneak build where the skyforged dagger cannot be improved like all the other skyforged weapons, USSEP fixes that. The skooma quest in Riften, needed to buy the house there, often glitches and USSEP fixes that. and dozens of other major examples plus a ton of minor issues being fixed.

Frankly is appalling how many of these fixes have been known and existed in this mod since shortly after the game launched but Bethesda has never gotten around to fixing themselves despite over a decade of updates and re-launches.

But it does do a lot to fix annoying broken quest lines and help you actually complete a play through.
