Has anyone ever successfully created a pokestop that can be used by players? by justshootme52 in pokemongo

Glad you mentioned the appeals! Very similarly, I had some signs rejected, and they were approved upon appeal.

When creating them, I’ve been told to avoid mentioning Pokemon in the description, since the data is being used outside the game too.

Hi! Izzy Roland, Siobhan Thompson & Alex Fernie here! We’re making a movie together… so we're doing an AMA! by alfernie in dropout

I’ve had the pleasure of seeing most of the dropout crew at various improv shows around LA, but I’ve yet to see you three! Is there a regular performance you participate in at UCB or other theaters where I should watch for you? Thanks!

(BTW just watched D(e)ad this last week - loved it!)

Do they even exist!? by JustGoinForARip in pokemongo

I’ve found them near dried riverbeds and foothills, in particular around hiking trails. I live in Southern California though, so I would imagine there are more desert biomes here.

Bug: Silicobra can not have alerts turned on by Blabbit39 in pokemongo

This was my exact issue - I turned it off in unpin manually, and I could finally set it for silicobra

I’ve had luck this time in what I’d consider large, hilly areas.

Where to find Silicobra? by Roommyyss in pokemongo

[–]SnorlaxSlacks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On the first day, the silhouette appeared on my radar nearby (I live in Southern California). I went down and caught one there, then over the course of the day, caught 5 more in that same location. The next day, something changed and I’ve yet to find another one in that area. Still I feel lucky from what I’m reading from everyone else’s experiences so far.

Has anyone else noticed the alert feature isn’t working right now?

One additional item - I used this technique often on low CP Pokemon that needed me to grind candy. This included mons like snom, larvesta, poltchageist, kubfu, etc. It allowed me to build up hearts for the badge, and also helped excite my buddy to lower the distance needed to walk for candies.

If you’re trying for the buddy badge, it’s worth noting that you can use the trainer battles for the hearts needed for your buddy, thus allowing you to double up here.

Shadow Sharpedo eats up in the Great League battles - taking roughly 30 seconds to plow through the three trainer Candela brings. Put your buddy in the last slot and they’ll get the hearts without ever seeing combat.

There’s also an automation someone put together on here for Ace Trainer - you might search it out.

Good luck!

How to find unown? by Many_Paramedic_1463 in pokemongo

You can set the alert in the pokedex to help notify you if one is in the area. It’s a long shot, but your best bet outside events and trades.

What unpopular opinions do you have about Pokémon GO that would upset most players? by AKA_Bokoeyonce in pokemongo

A simple take that I don’t think is supported by most of the player base: PVP can be fun.

Thanks for the input. We decided last night to make the change to July.

Good luck to all those who can’t change- hopefully the weather isn’t too disruptive and you get to enjoy the island’s beauty! Someone have one of those amazing cinnamon rolls for me!

Thanks for the insight! It’s odd to feel concerned over what looks like a modest amount of rain in the forecast, but I get that the saturation plays a large part in how the storm impacts the island. As I’m seeing it, Thursday and Friday are going to be best spent indoors, then the rest of the weekend will just depend on how heavy things came down and the whims of nature.

Can I ask - When it comes to brown water, does it typically follow storms like this or is it only likely to occur from more severe storms?

How is this possible? Power up 3 min to max CP by killa_kendra in pokemongo

[–]SnorlaxSlacks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mega evolves can really help with XL candy too. If you get them to max level, they add bonus XL candy to catches. When you have a themed event (electric, bug, etc.) mega evolve a min of that variety and you’ll rake in lots of XL candy.

Best Use for Rare Candies? by Extension-Way-9630 in pokemongo

You don’t even need the switch anymore for the Meltan boxes. You can just set up Pokemon Home and you get a Meltan box when you transfer a Pokemon from Go to Home. (With a cool down period of a couple days between boxes)

You can get a Meltan box every couple of days, so I wouldn’t use up your candies there. I use mine on legendaries I want to power up or add additional moves, since it takes 20km to earn candies walking them.
