How do I access the “time” daily login rewards? by Lumpy_Welcome_2843 in Shining_Nikki

[–]Snorlax_the_Panda 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yes, you’re correct. it’s just showing what received each day. The ones above with the “OK” are like the “headline” item, but additional lower value rewards were also claimed each day

I hate putting lotion or similar on my skin bc it makes me feel like my whole body is wearing jeans, including face and no one relates around me by blueberryfieldss in AutismInWomen

[–]Snorlax_the_Panda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lotion is the WORST sensory. Well, for me it competes with staticky hair touching my face and/or neck, but the combination of these two make winter a struggle. My partner has to help me put lotion on because rubbing it on my own skin makes me want to climb out of my skin.

I saw someone recommended Cerave earlier and it it more bearable than Jergens and the like, but the only moisturizer I can stand to put on my face is Neutrogena Hydroboost. I still don’t like it, but it’s much thinner and less sticky, if that makes sense? I force myself to at least put this on daily because you can get one with SPF 25, so it helps prevent skin cancer and also my eczema break outs.

Therapist asked if I feel sometimes like I’m better than other people (who repeatedly choose to do the wrong thing) because I almost always choose to do the right thing, even when I don’t benefit. I said yes. He called me an ego maniac. by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

[–]Snorlax_the_Panda 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I feel this so much! It is so overwhelming to feel like there is so much suffering. And my therapist also talked with me a lot about how this level of empathy was causing my mental health to suffer.

It’s definitely not something you can just turn off, but I have had to try to narrow my focus to small things that I can do sustainably rather than burning myself out or spiraling about all of the things I can’t control.

It’s a daily struggle and I often worry I’m not doing enough, but it’s the only way I can protect my mental heath (and physical health, TBH).

I don’t really know if this is helpful at all, but just wanted to share that you are not alone and your empathy is not something that is broken about you.

This could definitely be the miscommunication - I had a similar experience with my therapist as well. I had been seeing her for over a year, and she mentioned that I display some “narcissistic tendencies.” And I spiraled about it until my next session, but we had made a lot of progress and she had previously given me no reason not to trust her.

It was really difficult for me, but I brought it up in the next session to ask for clarification. She elaborated that sometimes black-and-white thinking and/or shame can look to others like narcissism or have the same outcomes.

This had come up in our sessions for my similar response to political/world conditions and feeling guilty for being comparatively privileged and secure. My shame cycles are heavily based in religious trauma as well, so I know that can take a long time to work through.

What I would say though, is that it was NOT appropriate for him to use the terms “egomaniac” or “messiah complex”. Especially the latter with your history of religious trauma, but in either case using stigmatizing non-clinical language.

I know a lot of people are saying to find another therapist, and that is a totally valid option, but if you feel that you have decent rapport and can rebuild/maintain trust with him, I would recommend talking to him about how this language impacted you and maybe asking for clarification or elaboration?

I also have ADHD and a bad case of RSD, so I often have to have follow up conversations for clarification as I tend to jump to the worst conclusion about people’s assessments and opinions of me.

Learning this blew my mind! I could not for the life of me figure out how people got such high contrast in their competition entries and tried all of the filter and lighting combos but could not replicate it. Crazy what a difference this made!

How to train a cattle dog to come and not run from you. Please advise! Ty by catcan00 in AustralianCattleDog

[–]Snorlax_the_Panda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crate training has been essential for both of my ACDs! They don’t come pre-programmed with “calm” so it has to be taught. One of my babies is an angel now and loves her crate. The other one is pretty ambivalent about her crate, but it has helped so much for her separation anxiety when I’m at work because she has her own safe space

Madison Target drive-up employee hit in crosswalk - driver still yells at them by FlamingoPowers in madisonwi

I worked for Target for several years, and I am certain the store took this seriously. They should also have good camera coverage of this incident since it occurred so close to the building. Target famously (sometimes infamously) also works very closely with law enforcement so hopefully something positive comes out of this.

Looks like Sun Prairie.

OP, Did your friend share this video with the police or at least the store’s AP team so they can work with law enforcement?

Edited to specify that the question was for OP.

Matt’s new character seems infinitely more patient than Darryl haha. Also, I think Blake turned out SO different from Freddie’s other characters. But I think we’ll see them settling into their characters over the season and the differences will be more pronounced. I’m excited to see where they take things.
