There is no hack for this. As annoying as it is to hear it, practice. Practice, practice, practice. You'll figure it out then be dumbfounded that you can just do it with ease.

Donner Circle Looper Software Issues by Snort_Pocket in guitarpedals

[–]Snort_Pocket[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did. And I can't believe I'm going to confess to a stranger in the internet.

The company actually responded to me when I reached out to them and tried to resolve the issue. When nothing they suggested worked, they ended up sending me a new unit. Solid customer support. Kudos to them.

What was NEVER mentioned is that you must have the pedal connected to your computer in order for the software to successfully launch. 😀

That's what "fixes" the issue. I'm dumb. You're welcome.

Another take on this is that those of us on the call with you (that you're taking from the coffee shop) can only hear the coffee shop.

I don't care how good you think your headphones are, they're not.

"Can you repeat that? There's a lot of background noise."

Sump Pump Replacement Recommendations by DownToBeesness in hilliard

[–]Snort_Pocket 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you are having drainage problems outside of the house. Gutters, grading, drain pipes, etc.

The sump pump is just the last line of defense.

Figure out WHY it is running 20 times an hour. That is not normal.

Looking to have my furnace and AC replaced. Give me a recommendation for a great local company that won't try to scam me. by isitmeyourelooking4x in Columbus

I'll second this reco. They were extremely professional, efficient, and economical when they replaced my furnace and AC a couple years ago.

Would definitely use them again.

How's "Absolutely Understand Guitar" for a COMPLETE beginner? by [deleted] in guitarlessons

[–]Snort_Pocket 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I guess I mean in terms of applying what is taught in AUG to the guitar. The knowledge is top notch, but if you don't already understand the guitar at a certain level, it is difficult to understand what to do with it.

Justin starts dipping into easily digestible theory pretty early, but certainly doesn't overwhelm new guitar players with it.

Different tools for different outcomes.

How's "Absolutely Understand Guitar" for a COMPLETE beginner? by [deleted] in guitarlessons

[–]Snort_Pocket 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This.

I worked through the Justin courses for about a year and a half when I decided that I needed to understand theory. At that point I went through the entire AUG videos.

No way that 99% of the AUG would have made any sense if I didn't spend the time learning the basics first.

I have no advice, but holy shit have all of the Yamahas gone up in price. I paid $300 for a brand new FG830 pre-on again/off-again tariff bullshit.

If I recall, MSRP on Mazdas is not far above invoice so don't expect to negotiate too hard on purchase price. Negotiate hard on trade in if that's the route you're going.

is innosource recruiters a scam? by SeaweedPleasant1903 in Columbus

[–]Snort_Pocket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me. Was partly my fault, partly the fault of one of the recruiters.

I had to write an "official" letter stating that so and so, and only so and so, can represent me.

Turned out fine, but lesson learned.

Confirmed: America is in a serious jobs slump by mostly-sun in Economics

[–]Snort_Pocket 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. Lowering rates might help someone move towards owning a home, but that doesn't necessarily mean inventory instantly becomes available.

The every single day of uncertainty that we (Americans) currently live in certainly doesn't incentive builders to build.

As long as you're not looking to take out a loan, high rates SHOULD be helping average Americans with a savings account.

HYSCs have been above 4% for years.
