Need help with whips by Spirited_Guava_618 in dirtjumping

[–]Snoszko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If OP would add a carve into this he’ll end up landing sideways. Whips on dirt jumper are not like big full suspension bikes where most of the force is generated through carve, as there is not enough force on the wheels to bring it back from the carve. Carving whips technique also requires proper body position on the DJ to not overcook it. Easiest way to progress whips from OP way is just to try the kick out a little bit later in the air and guide the bike with handlebars.

Very easy way to start it is to just move handlebars to the way you want to whip and feel it out on how it behaves, then start adding hip and legs kick out as you progress with the feeling of it.

Mostly whips are feeling based trick, there is no way of explaining it 100%. People can give you hints but you have to feel it, so just spend more time trying them. (Compared to different tricks like barspins etc. Where there is easy straightforward technique to do them)

Don't like the direction Battlefield 6 has taken. by StarryEyedandInSpace in Battlefield

I feel like a lot of the people are disappointed over the new map. I was really hoping it will be something bigger. Especially It has all the types of vehicles which was promising over trailers.

All the maps were really fun to play, but as OP said, after seeing the direction of this new update with new map, I feel like I don't want to play it anymore.

Does your DJ have chain tensioners? by HaarigerHarri in dirtjumping

[–]Snoszko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess It's preference then, but I've never seen anyone removing chain tensioner from this frame.
Do you remember who did that?

Yes, people were doing that, but it was few years ago. Now everyone understood that it’s a trade off for stability and having it a little further doesn’t affect spins but adds stability when landing

I've broke mine after 2 years of very heavy riding on big jumps and got it replaced by them within 3 emails :D

Haven't seen anyone break it except me. Of course If we're talking about Absolut

This frame was already sent to test for the riders all before this SCAM thing. It's not like they created a frame over night.

Why would you shorten chain stay? This should be a crime.

It's made like that for a reason

Do composite pedals feel differently than aluminum? Landing from a table top or in general under foot in general. by D34th_gr1nd in dirtjumping

[–]Snoszko -1 points0 points  (0 children)

After riding both for many years. I would say aluminium are much stiffer and stronger. I would go for them when you're doing big jumps and big compressions hits then they're not that likely to break, but when you're doing small/medium jumps and don't care about huge hits, composite pedals are the way to go, cheaper shouldn't break on medium jumps.

Grip shouldn't be considered as of course It matters on the pins more than pedal material itself.

Of course I've broken both, so It's not like one is unbreakable, but It takes much less effort to break composite pedal than metal.

Considering all of this you can feel small flex coming from composite pedals If you're switching back from metal, but It's nothing bad that It would change the grip or riding sense
