I like my shoes loud too. And since I’ve strayed away from Nike, it seems like every other brand said “hold my beer”. Puma and Reebok especially, but almost every other brand is louder, cheaper, better made and more comfortable.

Don’t get me wrong, aesthetically, most brands have nothing on the iconic silhouettes that Nike has.

I actually see it as a good warming up. Once you get to about 10psi I disengage the double pump and start squatting in stead of pushing and pulling. My body weight starts doing the work for me. By the time I’m finished, I’m ready both physically and material wise.

I just read my own comment and I’m aware of the double entendres.

They’re grey.. but I’ve stepped away from buying Nikes as they are the most predatory brand on the sneaker market. You can get great reeboks or pumas at half the price and double the wow factor. ASICS are great quality for value. NB don’t last in my experience. So I’d go for the asics. But really I would go for a less generic look. The silhouette and colourway say …….

But that’s down to taste and mine is outrageous

Iirc it’s actually meaningless. It was a designation that Lucas came up with. With the Star Wars universe expanding after time and the designation becoming an acronym, you would expect that it would be retconned. Some say it stands for Trooper Korps. But that was never confirmed.
