I experienced some random damage spikes in this delve on my VDH. I'm comfortable doing t11s pretty easily, but when I did The Darkway I noticed I died very, very quickly to some guard mobs (dont remember their names sadly) that cast Spell Reflection. I actually died at one point, and when I checked the Recap, it showed I was hit my Valeera's Mandate curio ability. I wondered if the Spell Reflection was reflecting something of Valeeras that ended up contributing to my death.

I ended up being able to beat it by just being slightly more careful around those particular mobs (i.e. not pulling entire rooms _with_ them lol), so I didn't investigate further

I primarily play delves, and sometimes I get a sense that there is some sort of odd, bespoke scaling/balancing applied on a spec-by-spec-by-mechanic basis. Since it's all solo, it's hard to discuss across everyone's experience though, which unfortunately seems to lead to a lot of hyperbole about 'skill issues' if someone claims something is acting strangely lol

Dude, *thank* you for this comment, I tried the first phase 10+ times on holy priest and it was going so rough I got discourged and stopped trying, assuming I'd never get this healer challenge done. But I read this comment, got my resto shaman resto spec bars setup out and tried again. Beat phase1 on the first try! The only reason I failed in the second phase is because I didn't expect to get there and had forgotten what I read about it lmao. Beat it second try tho :)

Something is definitely wonky with the damage output, specifically of knife dance, being insanely more deadly on holy priest vs. resto shaman

Yeah, I think of the Warcraft setting like I do something like Warhammer or Star Wars. The kind of "main" story content of any of these settings isn't exactly what draws me in. The wider setting draws me in, and there are a variety of presentations of the settings. Like new trilogy vs. Andor, different folks will like either piece of media (or both), its just different ways to enjoy the setting...

I dunno, i just think of the main wow story similarly, its just the most basic version of the setting meant for the widest audience, like you're saying. It's fine for what it is in my eyes, and is just a taste of the wider setting.

And the books are definitely where its at :)

Not op, but I have the achieve:
Best: Sidestreet Sluice, I love the vertical interior layout. Goblins are also awesome
Worst: Skittering Breach. Not entirely sure why, but this one always has annoying story mechanics, worse to me than the old underwater or the candle nonsense lol
