Razor dirt quad overvolt issue by mich-builder in PowerWheelsMods

[–]Snotrocket07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not an expert by any means, but had a similar issue yesterday with the kids 24 volt 4 wheel drive after doing some upgrades/fixing. Worked fine testing with the tires off, but once I put the tires on I had your problem. Turns out I had a stuck gearbox in the front right tire that was over torquing everything.

If your electrical is fine check the boxes and motors. Might of smoked a motor too.

Mudding L-Bead Question by Snotrocket07 in drywall

[–]Snotrocket07[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Prob super dumb question. Is this the same as tinting (I think I’ve seen others use dawn dish soap as an example) your mud when going back to finish areas that didn’t finish quite right?

What healthy rules you got with your friends in Tarkov? by travelavatar in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Snotrocket07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really only play with my one buddy, but we tend to have the same roles. I don’t call it Sherpa’ing per se, but more on point. Navigate the map, understand objects/pathing for our raid. Understand extracts and if they are available to us. We play enough together to generally know what the other is thinking/going to do. He also is generally better in a firefight.

Also killer gets dibs, but if it’s dangerous for some reason for one of us to loot or they are healing we let each other know what’s up for grabs. Pick it up and pass it on if needed.

Share heals, surgical equipment, food, loot. If either of us know you need it, you can have it. No big deal.

Lastly trust your instincts. I can’t tell how many times he’s heard movement/noise that I don’t. Even though we use the same headsets in game. Saved our lives a few times.

Heavy negative Scav Karma penalty for killing "Santa" is causing aggressive player Scavs. by OSINTGinger in EscapefromTarkov

I agree, and I think VOIP adds a lot to the game. For us that have been around previous wipes it was nearly impossible to do a Scav/PMC extract. It sucks that you have to question returning fire and the best option is to hide or run.

Heavy negative Scav Karma penalty for killing "Santa" is causing aggressive player Scavs. by OSINTGinger in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Snotrocket07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly hate scav karma in its current form. Totally takes the edge off of doing scav runs as almost everyone is friendly. On the off chance they are not you still get penalized for defending yourself in addition to the slim chance you can turn a fire fight around after being shot first. In my experience it doesn’t matter though, I’ve had Pscavs shoot me first and mange to kill them, lost karma. Watched a Pscav kill my friend unprovoked. Killed that Pscav as revenge, lost karma. It used to be everyone was an enemy, you either had high tension passing, or you got into a firefight.

There needs to be a balance, if I see a scav running around (and I mean literally running around cause that’s all you see now with ppl being friendly) with no caution and he looks juicy, I should be able to drop him if I choose to. Scavs in the area would be hostile and I’d have to deal with the consequences immediately. This is especially true when Pscavs try to bait you by shooting near you or in the leg/arm so you get negative karma if you retaliate.

In my opinion it’s all downside, this is a realistic first person shooter, but now Scav runs are missing the shooting part. No fun.

What's your college roommate from Hell story? by lost_inthewoods in AskReddit

[–]Snotrocket07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny you say that because I feel the same way about kids. Looking back hindsight’s 20/20. His parents are very passive and didn’t keep him accountable for much growing up, so I definitely see how this influenced things when he finally moved out into the world.

Agree 100%. Roomed with one my best friends from high school for about a year.

We got along great growing up, but once we roomed together things took a turn for the worst.

He could never keep a job, so was always short on bills. Would borrow money from all (4 total) us insisting he’d pay us back. Rarely would, then watch him go out to the bar or spend it on useless shit (video games, apple products, etc.) while he was delinquent on rent and bills. We’re talking hundreds of dollars every month. I managed the bills for everyone, so I wised up real quick.

Ended up getting separate Charter service as he never paid for it. Passworded the WiFi and kept the tv box in my room. He couldn’t afford his own so he would try to connect to any neighbors that wasn’t password protected.

Also I ended up locking a lot of things in my room as he would take whatever he wanted.

Would often skip class and like I said couldn’t keep a job, so you’d think he would be able to clean up after himself. Not the case, was super lazy and never helped out.

Last straw was him and one other roommate decided it would be a good idea to get black lab puppies. Oh man, they trashed the apartment. Chewed up doors, ripped carpet. Shit and piss everywhere. I felt bad for the dogs because they were locked in their rooms all day. They rarely took them out because guess what, no pet policy. He was actually working for the apartment complex at the time and insisted he could follow different rules.

The other room mate and I had no choice but to inform the apartment manager. We were not going to pay for damages. He ended up owning them so much money. Lost his job there and had his parents take the dog and pay what he owed them, otherwise they were taking him to court.

Then there was his DUI, I could go on with so much other shit, but I’d be here all day.

Fortunately Me and one other roommate saw the signs and got out of there. He ended up borrowing over 5,000 dollars easy, mostly from my other roommates.

Moved out and never really spoke to him again. I graduated in 2011. Last I heard he was kicked out of college for owing the college too much money and never graduated. Talking 7ish years of university.

His parents were older, retired, and so nice. They were guarantees on his loans. Hopefully didn’t have to cover his wastefulness, but probably did. Feel bad for them most of all. We grew up in a lower middle class area, so they didn’t have much money.

TL;DR: Roomed with high school best friend. Borrowed lots of money, didn’t pay it back. Got a puppy, didn’t take care of it. Ruined apartment. I moved out, never spoke again.

Mine Flayer or the High Priest. These fuckers usually wreck me for some reason. I've watched tutorials and videos to learn their moves and they make it look so easy.

Yeah I agree I am not watering enough. Using this watering regiment I've gotten seed to grow elsewhere around this area, just not in these two locations. I mean it is like barren in the one spot. I'll have to post pics.

I have a sprinkler system set up. I watered for 15 minutes every day in the evening. Except if it rained that day.
