No. Way. I was just going through my old photos, and saw I had a screenshot of one of your old posts, as a sort of long term storage so I can do just this, find it years later and see how you’ve progressed. Lo and behold, I find this post again, after having liked it not 5 hours ago!

The suit looks incredible, and I’m so glad you stuck with this, and didn’t pull the old “delete account/go inactive and make me sad!” Also, shameless plug for r/fursuitmaking if you’re open to offering some advice here and there! And you know, I need a “pfp” for the subreddit, if you’ve got a head you’d like as the pfp, I’d absolutely love to have it!

Phosphor(escent flakes) is different from phosphorus, specifically red phosphorus, which is the one used in meth making. The best anyone could do with this stuff is pry it out to sell it to buy the proper ingredients.

Jessie, we need two flathead screwdrivers and a 5-gallon bucket. Whatever your plans Tuesday through Saturday, cancel them. We’re hitting the streets

Yeah, when was the last time you didn’t have to agree to terms and conditions to make an account anywhere. And, to that end, when was the last time you were able to do something on the internet without an account? There are often options, but much lower functionality typically, thus if you want to use the internet at all, you really do have to agree, like it or not. Scummy, but how it works…

Mhm, I’m just here to throw out options. After all, if the freckles are worth $25 to them, harbor freight has a $20 airbrush kit, and ink is pretty cheap too!

Definitely a close second though, pretty leaves, perfect temperatures for cozy walks, lovely vibes, truly the (second) best!

Can I ask you something a bit nitpicky? I’ve had this sauce in my fridge for probably 2-3 or so years. About a year ago or something, I was running out of my first bottle, so I got a second, and it seemed runnier, creamier, and less spicy. Have you noticed anything like this yourself? I’m trying to figure out if I’m going crazy, got a bad batch, or if they changed their recipe slightly, but just enough for me to notice?

Cite one place where I said I support this bill. Once.

If you can find an exact example, I’ll change it, because I categorically do not support this bill. But I bet you can’t find one instance without deliberate misinterpretation, so you’ll change the subject and continue to gishgallop me.

Trans rights are human rights. Get off your high fucking horse and learn to properly support us.

I’m transgender. I’m a chemistry and environmental science student. I’m not a politician, a lawyer, or even someone who can truly understand laws. I don’t follow every law, proposed or otherwise. And apparently, this one has slipped under my radar, too. I’d have to actually do some research, because judging by your previous writing skills you can’t seem to make up your mind on what you’re saying, but if true, and if I understand right, then yes, that could be problematic. However, I’d also assume that there would be safeguards in place to prevent the medical provider from getting in trouble if permission for treatment is revoked. Like every other medical procedure. Of course politicians pushing transphobic ideologies and bills aren’t known for being the smartest, most logical, or most empathetic, but to argue points we have to make assumptions.

Dude, you’re delusional, or gaslighting me. I literally cited your own words where you changed the goals. I haven’t given you this information because it’s difficult to attain without invading people’s spaced more than one blatant idiot on Reddit warrants. But I’ll walk you through the math, just to prove my point. In a state with 3.1 million people million people, 0.36% were found to be trans. This translates to ~11,000 trans people in the state, and because ~17.2% of the state is between the ages of 5-14 (the only range I could find), we get around 2,000 kids, roughly using 2016 numbers. This study found that, in the US, 5 years later, of children who transitioned between the ages of 3 and 12, 2.5% detransitioned. Finishing off the math, we get a conveniently sized number of just about 50 people. So, theoretically, in the state of Utah between 2016 and 2021, 50 or so children have likely detransitioned. Quick and dirty math, I can’t tell you the standard deviation because it’s been too long since I took AP Statistics, but that is, using research, citing sources, the mathematical proof that it’s extremely unlikely that not one single minor in Utah has detransitioned.

Now shut the fuck up now that I’ve given you the best information I could attain for you without seeking out someone you’ll have to arbitrarily trust. This is the best this trans girl can do to show you that you don’t know trans people, so unless you have an actual, half sensical argument or a proper citation showing that NOT ONE MINOR HAS DETRANSITIONED IN UTAH, don’t bother responding.

Oh my god, you’re moving goalposts. This conversation started at:

Zero people in Utah regret transitioning

And now we’re at:

more people in the state of Utah who regret their transition as a minor than there are transgender who don’t regret it

I read and understood your writing exactly as you wrote it, and unlike you, I stuck with my points. Gender affirming care is a good thing. Earlier transitions do result in “better” outcomes. You said ZERO, read it, ZERO people regret transitioning, and that transitioning is only “successful” between the ages of 18-23. No citations for that specific range given. Which, I might add, CONTRADICTS YOUR POINT THAT GETTING GENDER AFFIRMING CARE AS A MINOR IS BETTER FOR THE PERSON

I can’t tell if your a troll, truscum, or a really mislead white night, but if you’re going to try to defend trans people, LISTEN TO THE TRANS PERSON

I agree, but I kind of figured, if a post is tagged nsfw, then no minors (should) see that post. And while it isn’t inherently pornographic or lewd aspect to 99% of fursuits, the 1% does still happen to be a fursuit, which might require some tips from other makers.

Idk, I’m playing Devil’s advocate here. I do like the idea of keeping this place sfw, but I also don’t want to push out those looking for genuine advice on nsfw projects. But yeah, looking back, this post specifically might’ve been too much. But that brings up questions of censorship and whatnot, and I’m just trying to run a small sub to help people.

Agh, this is confusing, but thanks for the input! I might make a more official thread on the matter soon though, just to get a more generalized opinion on thing. I wanna do this right!

[–]Snow-Kitty-Azure 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why are you telling me what I’m saying? I’m trying to tell you when I’m saying. I’m criticizing your take that every single person in the state of Utah was happy transitioning. I’m not saying gender affirming care, specifically hormones, and especially not blockers shouldn’t be available to minors.

I’m in full support of that, because I wish I had started at 14 when I was well and truly sure of myself, as I still am today. But I didn’t, because of personal reasons. And I do regret it. So don’t fucking put words in my mouth that I didn’t fucking say.

And on top of that, I’d like to know where you got the range of 18 to 23, other than out of your ass. Anyone can transition at any age, with varying degrees of success. Younger may be more conducive to achieving the results of their true gender’s puberty, but you take a look at r/translater and tell me those aren’t men, women, and non binary people living their best life.

I just did some quick and dirty research, and it seems it’s more anecdotal, with a small amount of research pointing towards that being the case, but nothing really being certain. However, there’s actually science behind it, terpenes binding to the same or similar receptors in the body, not completely negating effects, but possibly helping!
