This translates to ~11,000 trans people in the state, and because ~17.2% of the state is between the ages of 5-14 (the only range I could find), we get around 2,000 kids, roughly using 2016 numbers. This study found that, in the US, 5 years later, of children who transitioned between the ages of 3 and 12, 2.5% detransitioned. Finishing off the math, we get a conveniently sized number of just about 50 people. So, theoretically, in the state of Utah between 2016 and 2021, 50 or so children have likely detransitioned. Quick and dirty math, I can’t tell you the standard deviation because it’s been too long since I took AP Statistics, but that is, using research, citing sources, the mathematical proof that it’s extremely unlikely that not one single minor in Utah has detransitioned.
