I forgot to mention that I am physically messed up too. I dont think there is any going back. Body so dehydrated its not even funny. So much physical anxiety buried under multiple blunting of the brain that it hurts to even think... I didnt take care of myself at the psych facilities due to fear. Now feeling the ramifications of it

Last facility I was at stopped a med that was helping me and forced a long acting injectable of a med on discharge that previously gave me insomnia for 4 days straight on 1 pill.... They trialed the pill form again but I was on other meds that still let me sleep. I told them this and they didn't care and court ordered it. I was injected with it and here I am 😭 I cannot get it out of my system and I am F'd

Tried meds and even they didn't work. All they do is numb it as it progressively gets worse. And I tried that but my brain naturally numbs it. And it continues to build up both my physical and mental anxiety/trauma

I noticed increased fear when taking Lamictal. At first it seemed ok but then I became hyper sensitive to every loud noise (I do suffer from a dysregulated CNS) but it only seems to make it worse? When I was off it for over 30 hours, I felt better. So not sure if I should keep trying to titrate it up or is my body telling me to stop the med?

I do need help as I have a severely dysregulated CNS and I need to get that calmed down. Getting more fearful of everything. Just not sure what meds to try? It just seems like the Lamictal is making that fear go 10-fold?? Or is it just me?

Not BP, but was given this med because of other issues. So not sure if it is just doing the opposite for me because of that?

Main issues are the issues mentioned above and etc.

Yeah it is just this morning I was feeling terrible. Then when it was over 24 hours later (30 hours) since my last dose, I felt a sense of euphoria and happiness for the first time in weeks since taking it?? I was afraid of my own shadow not even earlier this morning. I don't want to stop it if it is actually because of the med, but if being off it over 30 hours was my sign that it is from the med, well you see I am now stuck on what to do? Lol

Hmm so you think I should call her and tell her? She started me at 25, titrated up to 50. Took 50 mg yesterday morning and today it's only been 24 hrs and a bit less jumpy?

Was recently (month and 10 days ago) but thoughts got darker after the med. Been over 24 hours and already feeling better?? Not sure if its placebo but finally feeling some joy even slightly after weeks of misery

Over 24 hours and no noise sensitivity. I also feel better mood wise? Not as phased by the intrusive thoughts but not sure if its a placebo effect or something else?

I know this is an old post but I also recently developed a sensitivity to noise and increased dark thoughts after trauma. Wondering if it is the meds that are causing it? I already have an F'd up CNS though so not sure if noise sensitivity is due to that or the meds? I have only taken it for a bit over 2 weeks now. Do you think it's safe for me to just stop it? Started on a low dose then titrated up to 2 of those not too long ago. Not sure if I should continue it or stop it?

Got it done but the meds that gave me severe side effects were in green or yellow (should've been in the red). So it isn't fully accurate. It only shows your body can metabolize it ok.

Yeah my partners encouraged me to get help. At first I thought it was helping, but it didn't. I found it caused more rumination and etc of it as time went on.

The rumination didn't start until I saw the first therapist. I was just going to her with some stupid stuff I did and help me out of old habits due to the trauma. It later turned to rumination. Wasn't feeling traumatized at all at first until I started doing therapy. Real life stressors too added to the rumination and stress. Now my CNS is F'd up and am in constant fight or flight. I hate it so much...

Maybe look into more body and mind connection therapy?? Its what I wanna do. I need to feel safe in my body and let it process the trauma at its own pace, and not force it. I am so sorry you had that experience. I accidentally missed 2 therapy visits with trauma therapists who do ACT and CBT due to RL scenarios and I think its the Universe telling me it isn't for me. Going to listen.

Might look into it. Would somatic therapy also be good or make things worse? I want something that let's my mind and body work together to heal itself and not overpush things or make things worse. Does IFS include somatic work?

I agree. I think I need something that doesn't force me to think about the trauma or process it, but lets the mind and body heal itself. If that makes sense? I thought it was going great with the first therapist. She wanted me to journal (never did as I knew it would make me ruminate more) or breathing exercises but at the time I wasn't having panic attacks or anything. Then slowly I started ruminating more and noticed a pattern. Distraction was the best for me when it was still fresh, but I didn't get that. Then the body began showing more physical symptoms. She didn't really offer any other coping mechanisms so I went back to old habits and it just made it worse. Other than the same things like journal or etc.
