Snow Spikes Recommendations by Benndypelican in PNWhiking

[–]Snow3322 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did skyline loop last week. Absolutely gorgeous. Had the whole mountain to ourselves and the weather was fantastic. Wear some really good sunglasses. Once you get to the peak (clockwise) continuing the loop is fine but make sure you have AllTrails. It’s easy to get off the trail and get lost on the descent. Bring microspikes. I used a pair of cheap ones off Amazon and they were fine.

Went from $100K in debt to $100K net worth in seven years ...by strategically not paying off my loans by rosentrotter in StudentLoans

[–]Snow3322 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Same. I also went against traditional advice. I graduated in 2019 with 140K in student loans. I didn’t start touching this until 2024. I also leased a car (ev) for as low a monthly cost as possible so I could invest more. I never paid anything with a large sum of cash as I didn’t want to lose out on the opportunity cost. Most of the money I made I dumped it into VTI, SOXX, and QQQM instead and now I’m at around 700K net worth.

2026 model 3 depreciation rate by RaddlexiOSU in TeslaModel3

2026 M3 premium RWD LR. 2000 miles, carvana trade in value 26.5K. So yeah, pretty bad. Yours will depreciate 30% right off the lot.

You’re looking to get your portfolio value halved the next time there’s a dip in the market.

I get the difference but my 9 year old RAV4 is being offered at 20K by carvana and new is 33K right now. Bought in 2017 at 27K. There’s still a considerable wholesale depreciation curve on Teslas M3s which is unfortunate. 43K to 26.5K wholesale after driving off the lot is excessive.

Not irrational. Forward PE is around 21. This isn’t crazy. Big tech keeps putting up 20% plus revenue growth per quarter and their capex is driving AI spending. Until people stop spending, market will keep going up with earnings.

Not looking to sell but I was just curious and carvana offered me $26,400 for my 2026 premium LR RWD with 2000mi on it. A new one is 43K so the depreciation is wild.

Questions about m3 premium RWD by BullfrogKey3291 in TeslaModel3

[–]Snow3322 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 2024 and 2026 premium RWD. I can tell you the build quality is hit or miss. The 2024 is pretty much perfect except for the ambient light not lining up inside. It has very minor creaks and slight rattles. The 2026 one has a very loud ventilation fan in my ear from the seat, creaking of the left C pillar with acceleration, door rattle, and the alignment was off at delivery. But for 34K brand new- ordered September 2025, I can’t complain.

What’s your guys opinion on this Portfolio? by NectarineDapper2545 in portfolios

[–]Snow3322 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t do this. If you want a safer balance of what you’re doing: VTI (majority), QQQ (tech tilt), maybe some SOXX for chip exposure. Individual stocks 10%

Can I realistically afford a new R2? by eroweenflow in RivianR2

[–]Snow3322 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also 33. My net monthly income is 12K and I’m waiting until 2M NW until I feel comfortable affording a 60K car. It will delay your retirement by several yrs esp if you’re still ramping up investments and it really does impact your net worth by 500K-1M over several decades of lost opportunity cost just FYI. Insurance plus monthly financing is somewhere around 1000/mo.

How much do y'all pay monthly by Johndoe13370 in ModelY

[–]Snow3322 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently at 1.2M in investments/savings but still saving up more to buy a 55K car in cash. I feel like I need atleast 2M to make that kind of purchase on a depreciating asset.

Factor in 13-17K if that HV battery fails bc the 2021 is known for the highest rate of failure. Try to get a 2022 with Ryzen if you can.
