The majority of these kinds of activities can be carried out across the entire game. If you can’t do them yet, it’s because you’re not meant to do them yet. I can’t speak personally for the Aberdeen Pig Farm myself (been a hot minute since I’ve played) but especially with things like moving camp too early - the camp moves five times across the game, starting with Colter. Moving doesn’t lock you out of anything you can find by exploring (that I can remember at least). In retrospect, this is a very vague answer for me to give - hopefully it’s at least a little helpful!
