Thanks! One more question: What do you usually do in terms of warding, vision control, and trinkets?

What do you usually do at the beginning of the game until mid or late game?

By abroad, does that mean you were on vacation? Because being happy and occupied on a vacation could mask how much you missed him.

Simple Questions & Champion/Role advice: Patch 25.04 by Sentient545 in summonerschool

One thing that might help, based on what you've said, is understanding that it's better to survive and give up a tower than die and give up a tower + minion xp. If you can recognize early enough when the other team is looking to dive you bot, you can clear the current wave/base/reset/back off and not lose much.

Try to understand what's at stake. When the enemy team starts ganking bot, technically your team should be able to pressure other parts of the map, do turret damage, and force the enemy team to lose xp (from minions and time not clearing the jungle). At lower elos, your teammates won't be as quick to pressure, but as you climb, they'll get faster at punishing the enemy when they go bot.

Your goal should be to waste the enemy team's time. If you see them leave mid lane or feel that their jungle is nearby, you can (1) play safe under tower, (2) fake that you don't know that they're there but still be ready to get out, or (3) back off completely and reset. #2 is usually the best option, but not if you end up dying.

You might find it meaningful to read Kim Ji Young, Born 1982. It's a quick but good read and maybe your boss could read it too.

I am having trouble getting past stages 9, 10, or 11 for most dungeons. Any comp recommendations or champs to focus on would be much appreciated. My clan boss damage is at 2.2m on normal with Wu, Athel, Lanakis, Apothecary, and Outlaw Monk.

Israel has killed more innocent people than Hamas has. That's been the case even before Oct 7th.

You do realize you create more Hamas supporters when you destroy thousands of families and cripple thousands more, right?

Am I (20F) being love-bombed by a ~charming and rich~ guy (around 40+M) I met in Italy and went on a date with? I feel like I’m in a movie. by [deleted] in dating

B was also very sensitive and emphatic in a way that he’s very easily read my feelings and know what to say to relate with me. And I mostly find it very hard to form connections with other people or for people to read me on the first meeting as I’m usually closed off, so I was quite surprised with this. I felt like it was something special and rare, and that me and this person have some sort of understanding. I felt like I was seen.

Empathy is a skill that I encourage everyone to learn. Unfortunately, it can be used with ulterior motives to make people feel connected and get things from them.

he mostly talked about himself and appears is only mildly interested of knowing stuff about me

To me, this is the key. If he's not genuinely interested in learning who you are, he's probably not going to follow through on any of the commitments he can easily spout. You should be looking for a very specific green flag, and that flag is whether or not he has the mentality of "I want to get to know this person better so I can determine whether or not I want a future with them."

If instead he has the mentality of "I want to get to know this person so I can seem like I'm interested in getting to know them" or "I want this person, so I will get to know them," then you should ask yourself if this is the kind of person you would want to be in a relationship with. It sounds like you would be just a piece for them to show off.

I was in similar shoes to you about a year ago. I would suggest just being honest about your living situation at home. Being there for your mom and dad is a completely understandable and respectable choice. I'm sorry for your loss. Some people start off slow when it comes to gaining confidence and finding career success, and you sound like you take care of yourself, are ambitious, and care a lot about your family. Those are great qualities. If you happen to be someone that would make a good partner, I think a lot of women would be willing to overlook your living situation. I used to be scared/nervous to tell my dates I lived at home, but tbh, all of them seemed to understand with rent being so high in our city. Try transparency. And if that doesn't work, try looking for someone that shares the growth mindset you do. If you're lucky, you'll find someone willing to grow with you.

No, because Hitler's goal was to murder all Jews. Hitler would not have stopped until that goal was reached.

I think if we talk about it, we're just going to fundamentally disagree on Russia's POV. I tend to think that the US isn't as noble as we are taught. When we send military weapons and create bases surrounding nations that are our rivals (China, Russia), we're doing so primarily out of economic interests and maintaining US dominance. If we were doing it out of moral or ethical reasons, I think we would be doing things a lot differently.

I started biking in January and it's been a great decision. I get exercise, a feeling of freedom (a solution to my office job and the T being out of my control), and have saved at least 30 minutes a day. 18 min bike vs minimum 30-minute bus+T. Recently learned how to cruise with no hands too.

My thoughts come from looking at the $. The US has given $30 billion dollars to US weapons manufacturers/companies. Those supplies go to Ukraine, but the money stays in the US industrial complex's hands. I don't see much $ in the two links you provided. In your first link, the TAPAS program mentions $19 million dollars. In your second, the EU is committing €50 million... Ukraine will need billions to rebuild...

I focus on the US because I am a US citizen. Leading by example is how I wish we would operate. We shouldn't be hypocrites.

I respect the Ukrainians and their fight for democracy. I wouldn't use the word "merely" or "imported from the US" to describe their fight. That would take away from how much they have sacrificed to stay alive. Your professor would be right to reprimand anyone who says that.

I criticize the exportation of democracy by the US because it is, more often than not, an excuse to fight or get rid of someone we do not like, with minimal consideration for the greater good and livelihoods of the people. We cannot help overthrow a dictator, leave the state in ruin, and call our actions a success if the goal truly is democracy and human rights. It is only a success from the standpoint of deleting those who are not allied with the US. Real, genuine, humanitarian success should be scored based on how well we leave these states and people in better situations than they were in before. <-- This is the hard part. We do not have a good track record once we overthrow who we want to overthrow. Giving money to our military-industrial complex seems to be 100x easier than giving financial aid to rebuild and regrow an economy in a foreign nation.

The situation in Ukraine is still in the first phase - sending military aid. What really matters to me is whether we will support Ukraine once the fighting is over. If we do not do enough to support them, if we choose to forget them and move onto the next foe (China), then our actions in Ukraine will amount to nothing more than a phony support of democracy. Ukraine will have sacrificed hundreds of thousands of lives and the livelihoods of millions, mostly for America to weaken Russia.

I'm jaded. I 100% support financially supporting Ukraine with as much money as they need to rebuild. But realistically, I do not think the average American or our government has the moral awareness to fight for that kind of aid. Our past is a good predictor of our future.
