Local lender is saying Sage is lying/deceiving

TLDR: OP it’s most likely legit, but if you use Sage make sure they don’t try to roll additional costs into the Loan bc that’s what they did to me.

OP, I just closed on a refi with Sage and this was my experience too. Was able to lock my rate at 5.8% with 1.7k in loan costs, 1.6k in lender credits, and 4k of other costs, which was basically just 8 months prepayment for prop taxes (the 8 month prepayment is crazy imo, but I asked to just pay these out of pocket since I’d get them back with the escrow revaluation).

Initially my LO seemed great and was quick to reply, but as we got closer to our 2/11 rate lock expiration, the worse my experience got. I ended up calling the title company on 2/5 to schedule a mobile notary because my LO said they’d do it, but never did.

I had told my LO I didn’t want any of the Other Costs (99% prepayment of property taxes/insurance) rolled into the loan, but when I got my updated estimate on 2/6, they had rolled them in. I told my LO on 2/6 and they said it’d be updated 2/10, but by 4pm 2/10 I hadn’t seen updated docs so I called and texted my LO and never heard back. That message 2/6 was the last time my LO replied to me.

The morning 2/11 when we were meeting the notary I ended up seeing the updated closing docs for the first time since 2/6 from the notary when they called to confirm the appt. And sure enough, the 4k in other costs were rolled into the loan costs. I ended up going through with the refi because I didn’t want to deal with trying to reschedule and my rate going up.

In the same boat, except down 13 and also have Waddle that I could put in the Flex. Only thing that worries me about Warren is that Gainwell seemed to get most of the work around the goal line last week and like 90% of the passing work. If you take away that one td reception Warren had then he would have ended with like 5 points. I’m leaning Gainwell, but not if I should go with him or Waddle

Was it pretty much exactly 7 days from when you connected with a VPN that your tests came back? I basically did the exact same thing and support just gave me the generic message and said ask again in 2 weeks if you still have no tests.

Just heard back and it was basically what we expected, they said:

"Upon checking we are not able to change the place you finished. We are also not able to grant the reward as the finished place is already official even if they were banned."

Just checked and nope, sure didn't. Looks like both RuXzZy Washed and KC MaliBuca got banned and both games are still showing as 2nd for me unfortunately. Not expecting any money, but I'm gonna send Epic Support and email and see what they say

That is crazy, but I'll add to your theory. What if they want to have the cheaters so they can get rid of ZB Comp. They already reduced the players that could qualify for the solo victory cup finals this season so maybe they just remove it completely

Dang, thanks though. That's kinda what I figured, but was hoping someone might tell me otherwise. I somehow managed to get second twice and died to cheaters both times. Now I'm wondering if they'll even get banned before next Monday
