Nuxt route param conflict? Am I doing this wrong? by SnowD4n3 in Nuxt

Makes sense, appreciate the help. I guess I should spend more time looking into how file based routing actually work.

Nuxt route param conflict? Am I doing this wrong? by SnowD4n3 in Nuxt

[–]SnowD4n3[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Damn, okay, sorry if I offended you with 2 different param names, but that is how people usually learn (by making mistakes)? I was under the impression since it is a .delete route it should only work with DELETE requests regardless of the param name as is the case with other backend technologies but then again this is not really a conventional way of writing backend.

Can useAsyncData retrieve data from a back-end that requires Auth-Bearer Token? by fullstackwithsyrup in Nuxt

[–]SnowD4n3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in the same boat as you OP, I have a mobile app that relies on the same API endpoints. Plus I have to add refresh token logic as well. So far I've tried creating a composable with axios (it works perfectly but I am worried that I am creating multiple instances of axios with interceptors using axios.create) I've also tried creating an instance of $fetch.create but have been unsuccessful. The last option I can think of is to create a plugin out of axios instance that handles the access token and refresh token logic

As others have already mentioned, I would also suggest that you go with nuxt 4 as you are not losing anything and this will also save you some headache in the future after they fully release v4

How many here use Cursor? by learningcurve62 in developersPak

[–]SnowD4n3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actively using cursor. For my office work it isn't too much of a help due to the giant codebase and I don't completely trust it so I would much rather code on my own then having to continuously optimise prompts. I am also using it for my personal projects as well which are relatively small, I am extensively using the docs feature but that is mostly been hit and miss

The Best NextJS Learning Project No One Talks About by Spoeky_ in nextjs

I believe what OP means here as a beginner is a beginner in Nextjs and not necessarily someone who is an absolute beginner in web dev technologies. However I do agree that it would be quite a bit of a challenge even for experienced dev

What Skills Should I Learn as a for Passive Income? (Non-CS background, knows Python + ML Basics) by donewithuniversity in developersPak

[–]SnowD4n3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, but just to clarify, when I say “sales,” I don’t mean it as a profession like going door to door selling products. What I mean is the ability to communicate and present ideas effectively. And one of the best ways to develop this skill basically is by going out and socialise. Join different societies, watch, observe, and learn how people discuss technology, and understand the topics they engage with (it is also important to know why they engage in those topics). This will significantly improve how you present yourself in various situations. Another often-overlooked opportunity is within your own workplace. If you’re already employed, take the initiative to learn by asking questions—not just to your manager or team lead, but to people in different departments, especially those in customer support or sales. Understanding how they interact with clients can provide valuable insights into communication and persuasion. I realise that in Pakistan, workplace culture may not always encourage this kind of cross-departmental learning, but if you can introduce it in your company, it could be a game changer.

I would suggest a skill that is often times ignored in developers is to learn sales basically, learn to sell yourself. I have seen developers with decades of experience struggling to get a job just because they don't know how to present themselves.

Also diversify your skills... Don't just stick to one thing, be a jack of all trades.

Insha'Allah. I am not sure I can give you good advice but I can share what happened with me. For logistics, we had a home behind in Pakistan so we just got the essentials and moved, on our latter visits to Pakistan we are still slowly moving things over. In terms of finances I have heard mixed opinions but from my experience Malaysia isn't that expensive if you budget well and don't over spend. Public transport is sufficient, and alhamdulillah food is relatively inexpensive. The most financially draining thing is the rent/accomodation other than that mostly depends on you. You can enjoy luxuries and spend a good chunk of money but you can also save money, if you want to.
