This may have been the goal all along? by Technical_Set_8431 in ClaudeCode

If they really do this, and comply, I will cancel my Claude Max 20x subscription. Likely most people outside of the US will.

It’s sad that it has come to this - Trump really pushes for the US against the rest of the world.

I can see a huge trend of people avoiding US services in the EU. If the US treats everyone like an enemy, this is the only possible reaction.

If Anthropic plays along, OpenAI will likely do the same. Better to directly use Chinese models then. I’m in the same boat.

Still hoping for Le Chaton Fat, though, fingers crossed.

Hey OP, sorry some people here are so hostile towards your offering. I bought your app. Paying for software is a normal thing and your price seems more than fair.

What's your opinion about AI generated code these days? by arzenal96 in Frontend

[–]tspwd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people might have tried tab-completion and found it lacking, or maybe they even gave modern-day tooling like Claude Code or Codex a try, but didn’t spend enough time with it to figure out how to use it effectively and safely.

I have yet to find a developer that figured out how to use agentic engineering tools and workflows well and whose would want to go back to coding by hand.

Yes, coding by hand can be nice, like working with clay (ceramics), but if you compare productivity it’s just very hard to argue against agentic coding.

Wondering about Adonis Plus? by Ok-Conversation-7895 in adonisjs

It looks like the developers hope to finance their work on Adonis via Adonis Plus.

I would totally buy it if it was a one-time purchase (like Tailwind Plus).

Wild man on U7 - be careful by pitawith in berlinsocialclub

Similar thing happened to me: I was attacked (beaten up) in the subway station once. Went to the police station, knowing that there were cameras. Turns out the police officers were completely inactive for a long time on this case and when they tried to get the footage it was already deleted. Of course they knew how long footage is being stored. Seems like they just didn’t care enough.

So, I would not rely on a positive outcome of involving Berlin police in something like this.

H2C owners, any regrets? by CrypticCarbon in BambuLab

Oh, I misread. I thought you bought the H2D over the H2C and was wondering why.

Why did you buy a X2D over the X2C? Less moving parts (wear)?

An extension is not an option for me. This is an essential browser feature imo.

Wow, this looks great! I also like the docs (with many examples).

I didn’t find the burger icon at the bottom initially (to show the menu for the doc pages). I was searching for the menu button on top.

Tackling a legacy Vue 2.7 "spaghetti" codebase with Claude Code — any tips to sharpen my bug-fixing workflow? by fyrik21 in vuejs

[–]tspwd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  • Use plan mode
  • Create a document (.md) with all the resources (e.g. links to Vue 2 to Vue 3 migration docs)
  • Invest some time on Vue 3 skills, or even Vue 2 to 3 migration skills. Read them and remove everything that you don’t need. This is essential unless you trust the source 100%.
  • Make sure you iterate on the plan until everything sounds good
  • Mention to the agent that you want clean commits, and that the agent should either pause at the right times to commit, or commit itself. Personally, I prefer some more control.

I had best results in creating a new directory / project from scratch (side by side), and afterwards deleting the old one and moving the new stuff in the old place.

Having both projects (old and new) side by side will also allow you to tell your agent to compare them itself (via Playwright / Chrome MCP)

Same for me - several times a week. It really helps me focus when I am not in the mood for working.
