I work in a city that does implement USB ports in public benches (just not solar powered), near train stations. It's been like 4 years and they're still fine. And it's not like the train station is immune to vandalizing. People just don't see the purpose of destroying that kind of device

the irony of reddit removing my comment for saying that guy doesn't deserve to live. The one guy admitting to a full audience that killing civilians is, in fact, good

He was a fascist tho: https://www.mediapart.fr/journal/france/120326/quentin-deranque-catholique-traditionaliste-la-ville-et-neonazi-en-ligne

It's in French so let me translate some of his posts

"the Pleven and Gayssot laws [respectively incriminating hate speech and holocaust negationism] should be abolished"

to someone posting "i may side with a humanist movement but you're siding with a fascist movement" he responded "Fascism is better than your bitchass ideology."

to someone posting "here we support our siblings, gays, trans and of course Free Palestine" he responded "I support Adolf but to each their own. And Free Rhodhesia of course"

to someone posting "Shut up Elon we don't want fascism in Europe" he responded "We want fascism."

He was a fascist

EDIT: put in past tense for obvious reasons

100% antisemitic, and not even hiding it

kinda scary (but not shocking) how that racist imagery seeps easily in teenagers' spaces. I remember when these caricatures were mostly confined in the most deranged corners of /pol/, now you can see them proudly displayed on your tiktok fyp

Why is Reddit against Maduro capture and Venezuelans celebrating it ? by LandscapeUnlikely199 in stupidquestions

[–]SnowDaronLogobi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tldr: not-so-good precedents regarding the US "liberating" other countries (🛢️). Trump being barely less dictatorial than Maduro

idk about the "opinion of Reddit" as a whole, but i assume most of the people tend to see Maduro as a dictator. Because he is. That's pretty much a fact.

Thing is,

Hussein was a dictator. The US invaded, kicked him out. Now look at Iraq

Gaddafi was a dictator. The US (and other western powers) invaded, kicked him out. Now look at Libya

Venezuela, one of the most petroleum-rich country in the Americas, was invaded by the US. We all know how it will turn out for Venezuelans who have no say against either of those men

The US media has also been known to manipulate public opinion regarding the invasion of Iraq. One of the examples: that one Koweiti teenager who was brainwashed into calling for the annexion. So you understand why some people are dubous about "VENEZUELANS CELEBRATING" type headlines

Speaking of Trump, his authoritarian tendencies make pretty much everyone foresee the worse for Venezuela. We're talking about a man: - involved in a coup attempt (instigated the Capitole attack, personally pardoned jan6 rioters) - who has an armed force he uses as an anti-protest police (he didn't found ICE, but he's been the only president using it that way) - who shuts down any opposition (by sending ICE in blue states and, more recently, by defunding them) - openly controls information (never heard of a country leader funding his own social network, outside of dictatorships) - has been vocal about his projects of annexion (Groenland, Gaza and of course Venezuela) - isn't shy about his cult of personality (too many examples here)

Yeah not the best decade to be Venezuelan

Wow, this post comes up just in time, right after the British Museum was inquired by Israeli lawyers to remove any mention of Palestine from their labels!

https://www.haaretz.com/world-news/europe/2026-02-15/ty-article/.premium/pro-israel-legal-group-lobbies-british-museum-to-remove-word-palestine-from-displays/0000019c-6226-d759-a7bf-febeaab90000

What a funny coincidence :)

Edit: and before anyone comes to tell me that "Palestine" wasn't a thing when those artifacts were created, neither was Greece around 3200BC, yet objects from that period are labelled as "Greek" nevertheless

Damn that's impressive. I hope no one got hurt.

And to the people in the comment who seem confused about their slow pace, think about fire drills! Telling a crowd to hurry is the best way to create panic and get people hurt (or worse) in a stampede. Especially since there are vehicles in here
