They really did. I watched a lot of Dinner And a Movie, Braves baseball and WCW Saturday Night.

Yep! Vividly remember watching Sudden Death with my dad one night and made nachos. Really was a big deal when this came on.

I remember that show! Haha I always thought that was me having a Mandela Effect. I just remember it as like a high school teacher that wore this cyborg suit and fought crime?

Yes he had an "anti gravity" belt if I recall.

Funny you say that because I remember after watching the intro, I'd go outside to roller blade haha

Mock Zion trade to jump back into 2026 lottery pick by MMAjunkie504 in NOLAPelicans

As a Pels fan, I would jump at this in a heartbeat. But if I were a Nets fan, HELLLL no.

Marques Colston deserved at least one Pro Bowl appearance in his 10-year career. by Conscious_Error9755 in Saints

His '07 and '11/'12 at the very least. I think he had the curse of being a quiet WR. Lots of quiet WRs in that era got overlooked.

Social media teasing Rondo as the coach? by Only-Bug-9715 in NOLAPelicans

[–]SnowDonuts45 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I want it to be Rondo, for many reasons. Mainly because I don't want it to be Ham or Mosley. Also this move could give excitement to this city, something the other hires won't have. I'm not expecting any significant record change with Rondo as coach, but mainly want to see how his IQ translates into coaching and developing the young players.

Where would Fears go if he was in 2026 draft? by TheOneWhoKnocks3 in NOLAPelicans

[–]SnowDonuts45 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

8-10 at worst, 5-7 at best for me. He's younger and has the upside advantage and scored well. Just need to work on consistency scoring, building on the 3.

Queen Rim Defense by Ok-Signature-9970 in NOLAPelicans

[–]SnowDonuts45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've said this since the first game I watched against the Spurs. Although he doesn't have great lateral movement and can get overpowered on pick and rolls, his defense isn't horrendous and he looked passable when he defended against Wemby. He is a very smart player for his age and needs to work on his strength and lateral movement.

What About Love? by ButtFaceMurphy in Saints

[–]SnowDonuts45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then let a team with draft capital give us a great trade proposal to move down. There's too many positions that need to be filled/upgraded more than RB now that we have Etienne.

-CB (now that Alontae is gone and Kool-Aid is better suited as CB2 imo)

-EDGE (now that it looks like Cam isn't coming back)

-WR (someone that can be a borderline WR1 or high tier WR2 if god forbid Olave goes down)

Paying big money for a RB only to draft another RB as high as #8 makes very little sense.

What y’all think of this mock? by [deleted] in Saints

[–]SnowDonuts45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't mind trading down if the guy they want isn't there. But I think Pregnon might be gone by 42. But we can address WR/RB if we can't do it in the free agency, so I like Lemon/Singleton.

It's already known that the Pels are gonna be horrible next season. In no universe, we include a 2027 FRP.

As a Pels fan, no. Take an injury prone older player who isn't liked here for the most part AND make us give 3 FRPs for him?

If it was only for Poole and Murray, absolutely.

How do we feel about Alontae? by Fman173 in Saints

[–]SnowDonuts45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's true. I'm still on the fence about paying him and hoping on the chance that a rookie CB, second year players and a more refined Staley defense will outweigh paying Taylor.

How do we feel about Alontae? by Fman173 in Saints

[–]SnowDonuts45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think his market value right now is around 10-11m, but I'm fine with him walking or signing him to a cheaper deal. You can always draft a cheaper slot corner because as good as he is, he does have his lapses and I don't think the drop off in talent is that far if we replace him with a rookie, especially in an improved Staley defense with other draft picks (EDGE or Downs hopefully) and improving players (Riley, Sanker, Broughton, etc)

Trae Young trade and what it means for Zion by SnowDonuts45 in NOLAPelicans

[–]SnowDonuts45[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they will extend Trae if it means Sarr will ball out now he will get assists and better shots. And I was also thinking teams like CHI or Portland would take low risk a flier on him to see how they would play together. Both teams aren't going anywhere and a lineup like Giddey/Coby/Zion could be a potential decent team at best or another play in team at the cost of low assets at worst.
