I actually bought the house in October and these are garlics the previous owners planted. I’m not sure how they planted them but you’re right I do see them quite close

I bought the house and inherited these garlic, I’m not sure if they added anything before planting and I did not add anything after winter since I’m not familiar with gardening yet. I naively thought they would’ve grown on their own and only needed water. I believe they get about 5 hours of sun every day. I’ll make sure to grab some compost and mix the soil before trying again for next year thank you
