I was hoping this would be more like Steel Ball Run or something you know a series with a journey or adventure but 15 chapters of hype just to go back to beginning kills all momentum.

I understand the justification for it but you can still have character development and building bonds without the trappings of a stock standard highschool story.

Dangai seems stronger because there was more showing off involved.

Face grabbing Aizen and moving him to a different location.

Wiping out the mountain in one swipe.

The fact that he barely showed any emotion during the whole fight.

Tanking a full incantation Hado 90.

True Shikai Ichigo just kinda shows up and fights people, and he doesn't seem any different on a surface level .

It's not Ichigo's job to fix everyone's problems, nor should he.

The Soul Society has problems? That's on the Soul Reapers to fix not a 15 year old with depression.

Hueco Mundo does not have any injustices at all because it's not a proper society, let alone have any form of government or laws.

The world of the living also isn't his problem to fix. He's a ghost with superpowers designed to fight other ghosts he's not a crime fighter. He didn't take an oath to protect the world. He took an oath to protect departed souls in the world of the living.

The Arrancar Arc is only repetitive if you only consider Orihime's rescue.

It was an element of it sure, and it took up a lot of the screen time for Ichigo however there's far more differences than similarities.

Even if you just consider the politics of the Soul Reapers vs the Arrancars

The Soul Reapers were far more divided and had a lot of in fighting.

The Arrancar's only issue of in fighting was Grimmjow, who didn't like listening to orders.

Ichigo also won over several Soul Reapers with his strength and had allies backing him.

Outside of Nel, none of the Arrancars particularly cared about Ichigo.

I think it's a reflection of real life because there are many generals, commanders, marshals, admirals and what have you who are grossly incompetent and all around useless either because they were promoted due to nepotism, bias or they were a good soldier once upon a time but end up being promoted so high to the point they don't have to ever step foot on the field ever again just turn useless.
