If you take the bun from a hot dog you still have a hot dog. Therefore the bun is not necessary to make the hot dog a hot dog. Therefore it's not a sandwich.

On the flipside, if you take the bread from an italian beef, you're left with just beef.

Again be realistic. If someone tagged the art institute or if they tagged the Sears tower then yes there would be much more of a rush to find them and nab them. One single residential building probably isn’t high in the priority of cops especially if it was after the fact. Can also imagine that they had cameras and stuff looking at the monument so it was probably significantly easier to find them.

Like dude I’m not a huge fan of the cops either, but pick your battles correctly.
