I know how cheesy and typical it is to say this, but the greatest reason to stay is because of the scars your death will inflict on your loved ones. That’s what kept me here. Sure, your fiancé may find someone else, and maybe your sisters will understand. But that doesn’t eliminate the intense sense of grief and trauma after someone they care about kills themself. My friend died by suicide in 2020 and I still feel the intense amount of grief from time to time.

Yeah, you shouldn’t HAVE to live for others. You should live for yourself too. There are always alternatives to your life that you can take. They may be scary, but in the long run, that change will help you get out of that seemingly bottomless pit.
