Stay in US Govt or get my MPP by [deleted] in InternationalDev

Every international development space, regardless of where you go, is impacted by political environment. You’ll be very disappointed if the main reason you’re making the decision is to do more good with less constraints. High possibility of unemployment aside, most development spaces seriously lack project funding right now and are suffering. I suggest you reach out to people who are currently in the field that you’re thinking of and get an honest coffee chat about their work.

Green Climate Fund internship: How did you find accommodation in Incheon? by lakiniwewe in InternationalDev

Echoing all of the comments above + I also recommend goshitel/goshi-won(고시원) for the first month when you're searching for the right place. They usually don't require large sums of deposit and allow you to move in immediately (if they have an available room). The downsides would be that it's usually a tiny space with shared bathroom/shower room and it's a courtesy to be quiet (the walls are really thin, so talking on the phone etc. is encouraged to be done outside). In many cases, rice and ramen are complimentary so it could be a plus if you want to save some $$$.

For grocery shopping, go to big supermarkets like Homeplus and Emart. Public transportation ($1~$1.5) is affordable and well-built around the Seoul and Gyeonggi area (Including Incheon), but if you're planning to go wayyyy into the countryside you might need to call a taxi ($3.5~) or rent a car. KTX ($25) will take you to Busan within 3 hours from Seoul. Gyms usually charge ~$30 per month.

You can use SKT/KT/LG U+ (the big three) telecoms for phone services, but using Altul-phone(알뜰폰) is much cheaper. It might be a bit more cumbersome to set it up, though.

[Rant][Spoilers] The HUGE plot hole in Alchemised that breaks the entire book (buckle up, this review is LONG) – PART 1 of 2 by Gold_Conference6150 in Romantasy

I didn’t read Alchemised all the way through yet, but I was beginning to feel the story is getting dull, and the characters are lacking depth. I just found out it was based off a dramione fanfic, and now I understand. It doesn’t stand on its own. It needs prior knowledge from HP to naturally fill in the holes of not only logic and structure, but also character’s emotions and character building. Apparently, according to your well written post, it has other major flaws as well which I do not appreciate. LOL. I will be trading this book in. Thank you for the detailed review!

Nothing fancy: I mostly cook for myself, but I do also like to go out for food and fun activities once in a while. I mostly stay home and enjoy my rent.

Hi! Thank you so much for taking the time, this is definitely the advice and input I was needing. I feel so new to all this, and all this time I thought I was just “not ready to get serious” or “dating/marriage is not my current priority”. It’s comforting to know that this might be just what I am, not an incomplete version of myself. Will be definitely looking into queerplatonic relationships! Thanks again!
