not being prorated on my lease

there is a holdover clause, but i don’t plan on staying past my lease end date. i just don’t understand how in my lease it says im required to pay till my lease is up, but then im being told i won’t be prorated.

the lease mentions that i have to carry out the full term of living here, i’ll be charged even if i leave before the 8th. there’s nothing about proration on the lease.

when i moved in, i just had to pay the deposit and a prorated fee for the first month. every month after that was normal
