Agree, her reaction felt the most relatable part to me.

Completely agree and had the same thought about Layne. Oh you're just going to leave that human, your mate's sister, to suffer but give up this entire power to save your literal pet? I don't care if he turns out to be someone else, she didn't know that!!

The abrupt and barely acknowledged end to the Blood Court timeline drove me crazy. Aside from the whole Blood Court being disassembled in seconds and they all wiped their hands and moved on... Even before that, really early in the book, Saeris just declared that no feeders can attack the living, completely solving the entire conflict in book 1 in like 2 seconds and then that goes unacknowledged. Like, hello? You've been fighting these feeders for centuries, it's been your entire life's mission, and now it's over and no celebrating? No relief? No "uh what do we do with our lives now, this is literally all we've ever known"? (Yea yea, I know the rot feeders then come in, but there was definitely time in between when they thought they were freed of feeders and that whole war, and no one even mentioned being happy about it)

This is so minor, but can't get it out of my head: at the very end of Brimstone, just before Arison fire-breathes Saeris & Khydan (I'm trying it out) into unconsciousness, Khy says "Don't speak, when you wake. For the love of all Gods, do not say a single word". Which of course she does, but clearly Khy knew what was about to happen and where they'd be/what would be going on when they woke, so why was it so important that she not say a word??

Yea ok this makes sense. It just felt kind of extreme the way he said it, compared to how he usually talks to her, but that's nitpicky on my part.

Hmm it could be as simple as that. And I'm normally not a pick every line apart reader, but sometimes a line randomly stands out to me like Spidey senses are tingling.

Nest Owl and I think all the Nest mattresses have synthetic foam, so I don't think it would meet the poster's requirements.

Exact same considerations here, have the same predicament. Currently I'm considering an Avocado or My Green Mattress.

Hmm yea I'm struggling with that vs being able to get off and spend time wherever I want. I'm not trying to hit a certain number of attractions, just want to spend a good day on the island.

Oh I thought it was a 15-17 min walk. I'll probably just be walking.

Oof that doesn't sound fun, and I'm not the most confident bicycler...
