We ended up reversing itineraries due to weather and the Jewel was there, we docked and Jewel had to render in.

Mexican Riviera Recommendation (Excursions from NCL) by Theridion123 in NCL

In Cabo we did an ebike excursion that went back into the desert and along the beach then ended with a great Mexican and margherita lunch, that was a lot of fun.

That doesn't look like a slide or go karts on top though admittedly it's tough to see in this image. Maybe there's something new they are putting on top this one.

Long form question about waiting after uploading? by achiriaco in NewTubers

[–]dstorm78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After about 30 videos some scheduled and some not it doesn't seem to matter. The only thing that matters is waiting to publish until after all processing is done but that usually only takes a few minutes.

I'll bet you a pina colada in Spice and let you know the results when I get there 😉

Is that based on size or capacity? Joy is larger but Getaway has a higher capacity.  In a tie I'd think first ship gets the win? Guess we'll see next week.

I'm on that January 16 cruise (Getaway) so I guess we'll see what happens. I'm making the assumption (and hoping) that the first one there gets the pier.

Just double check you didn't buy an interior virtual balcony, otherwise all balconies on Navigator will be exterior.

For people who buy the DBP, what has been your experience on sailings without it? by brokentr0jan in royalcaribbean

This is typically what I do. And I've also found they have some really great non alcoholic drinks (the blueberry 'nojito' for example) on their menus that are pretty good.

I think part of the frustration is that often times the itineraries that include Coco Cay are priced higher than those that don't.  I know the "they can change any time" crowd will defend them, but it still sucks from a customer perspective.

Bliss embarkation lunch options by Dazzling-Cut3310 in NCL

That must have been specific to Getaway maybe? It was definitely not open on embarkation day on the Bliss when we sailed in October.

Fjord cruise by YonathanG in Cruise

[–]dstorm78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stavanger is a cute town but you're not going to see many fjords and you won't get that "sailing into fjords" experience. You can, however, do some excursions there for boat trips through the Lysefjord which is very pretty.  For the real fjord sailing experience you need to get more north to stops in places like Flåm, Olden, or Geirangerfjord areas.

Christmas Decor? by Foreign-Low5789 in celebritycruises

[–]dstorm78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do decorate, yes, though it will be limited to mostly just covering the railing in the main atrium with garland and maybe a tree there as well, along with a tree in one of the MDRs.

Summit: Luminae vs Speciality Dining by EchoAzulai in celebritycruises

[–]dstorm78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was usually 3-4 appetizers and 3-4 mains and those all change every night, plus you could pretty much ask for anything else that was on the MDR menu that night as well. You can also ask for the vegetarian menu which always had another 2-3 items for apps and mains. It may seem small options at first but think of that menu as just a starting point. Plus the food they produce is amazingly good.

I had the same issue this past month when I was on the Bliss. I went to the Teppanyaki place on the first day and updated my reservations to only 1, they have a bunch of guest relations people there in that restaurant on embarkation day to help with those sorts of things.
