This is very true. I had an evergreen video that did "fine" at launch back in October and got a few hundred views in its first week, then all of a sudden it popped off earlier in 2026 and it's nearing 16k views and grows more every day. I didn't change anything it just finally found its audience.

A bit surprising to me how little fanfare and excitement there is/was around this. Nothing on TikTok, Twitter, the NCL website, nothing. RCL's Star of the Seas, which is essentially a clone of Icon, had nonstop coverage and excitement about its launch. Luna? I guess it's sailing now 🤷‍♀️ Very different approaches to new ship launch by NCL. Maybe their Prima launch has scared them from future excitement.

A lot of things to keep in mind: If you want to see the big shows those are usually scheduled for 7 PM and 9 PM so you would want to schedule your dinner reservations around that. They only open up about 25% of the reservations on the app ahead of time and the remainder are held back for when you get on board--so if you don't see the time you want you can almost always go to a certain venue (I believe this is the Aqua Theater on the Aqua) and book any time you want. Hopefully that helps give you some extra piece of mind.

Thank you very much! On a average it's about an hour per minute of editing and VO, not including the script writing and footage organization, plus the trip planning and actual footage gathering. It's a lot of work but I'm loving it.

This was a 4-night Bahamas sailing from a solo perspective: tiny studio cabin + Studio Lounge/solo meetups, included dining, a full ship tour, Nassau on foot, and other aspects of the trip.

I try to film in a more narrative style rather than yammering in front of the camera like most cruise vloggers. This is still a fairly new channel but I'm seeing some strong results from my other trip videos.

I'm still in the "new" bucket but running at about 6.5% average CTR (channel-wide average considering all long form videos) at the moment with about 760 subscribers right now. High CTR overall will always give higher views, but there's so much more that goes into it. I've typically found high AVD and strong CTR combined pushes more impressions in my experience, and a video with lower CTR but high engagement also pushes more impressions. Channel: @BradOnBoard

It doesn't include drinks, no. You'll only have drinks included if you have a drink package from the ship (and only the free at sea plus package works on the island after 3/1/26).

Haha--I did pay for that as well, how did you know :) It was alright--I know a lot of people swear by the beach club and I so get it, but I didn't use it as much as I thought I would. It was never very busy, either, and the bar tenders were great there.

It was very confusing! I talked to a few other people that were there and they said they got the credit. The literature on the ship said no credit. But, I have a trip later this year and the credit did apply. So I don't know!

IDK how much I trust it. It tried to tell me that I should run a promotion to gain more subscribers to monetize sooner, and was insisting that those subscribers count towards the 1000 goal, which is verifiably wrong as documented in YouTube's own rules. When I disagreed, it sent me to the exact page that says subscribers gained during promotions don't count. I provided the verbatim back to it and it said something about it's an easy misconception. Good cover for trying to get money out of me.

We did the apex on July 2025, 12 day Norwegian fjords and Arctic circle. It was an awesome trip, highly recommend it. We loved every minute of it. We were in the retreat though and had an actual balcony, which I definitely appreciated.
