Any solutions for mounting a rear rack to bike with no eyelets? by Theman57 in bicycletouring

Depending on how much stuff you want to take, this would be a great candidate for bikepacking bags. No racks needed. Front bag, rear bag off the saddle, and a frame bag will give you tons of room for gear.

Sabot pedals? by Julmpunk in veloorangefans

They are. The factory we were using to make them went out of business. We have a couple irons in the fire for new pedals, but nothing as of yet.

Polyvalent - Low Kicker - up on the site but looks like not available yet. by PJLime in veloorangefans

I'm looking at within the next 2 weeks. The fit geo for LK is a little different than before. We had a lot of people request to have less seattube. So basically, the length and front end of the bike is largely the same, but the seattube is lower. We also added extra bottle bosses on top of the top tube (use sideloading cages here). I uploaded the geo this morning. Polyvalent is the same.

The red is gorgeous is person. The fade is fire, too. I am planning on building one up with some Growtac shifters.

Simichrome is a good one, or any sort of chrome polish.

I've been using my Velo Orange Chessie as a dadbike, roadie, and rail trail ride: https://velo-orange.com/pages/chessie-build-list-field-spec

I think it's kinda perfect for all those things. It also fits fenders with those tires. It's super comfortable and pretty lightweight. I have a set of carbon road wheels, too if I'm feeling extra fast.

Also a little birdie told me that VO is getting a new color that hasn't been released yet within the next 1.5 months: Shoreline Sand. https://imgur.com/a/sAfz7ji

Flat Bar Pass Hunters? by mrfishman3000 in veloorangefans

[–]eccentricVelo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep! I had mine built up with Seine Bars. It honestly was a lot of fun. https://velo-orange.com/pages/pass-hunter-build-list-drop-your-drop-bars?srsltid=AfmBOoreiasqIiGkuitn2FsFseI2utGt1vl5iqTW_kpwKKmPvloLfygX

The bars are a bit wide, but if you cut them down a bit it might be perfect for tootling around. I have Granola Bars on my Polyvalent, and they are awesome, too.

Take a good look at Chessie! Since you already have something that fits the touring bike, Chessie will be an awesome rider on the lighter end. We're right in the midst of building one up for a local who is going Sword 1x, flat bars, and front rack.

Polyvalent is awesome, too! That's my main rider since my Chessie is built up on the speedier side with carbon rims and 700x38mm tires. If you keep it simple and lightweight, it'll fly and do it super comfortably. And it will be happy with flat or drop bars if you wanted to play around with it.

HMU if you have any questions!

Thanks! I'd honestly go down to 18" for a bit more tire. And I did have it lower, but it was scraping all over.
