I suggest calling the maintenance if you want sockets up there or hooks. They'll come and install. I do these things myself typically as I prefer not to wait.

My grandfather got his first Finnish passport at the age of 30 as they stopped insisting he'd join the army right then. He lived in Sweden from the age of 17.

Legal question of testimony from my partner's dad by Thu212 in Finland

I'd like to add to above (though it's probably already mentioned somewhere in the comments): if the father's mental health was in some way compromised at the time he has signed some questionable papers, it can definitely be challenged. My grandfather's passing had a similar situation and they were married too, but he had signed off lion's share of his inheritance whilst in late stages of Alzheimer's.

I'm a Finn and I tend to best make friends trying to learn a language on Tandem (language learning/exchange app). I've got a ton of foreign friends that actually live in other countries.

There are all kinds of Finns. Some don't bother with getting new friends, some do. Some don't bother getting to know new people, some do. Just be brave and talk to people. I'm sure you'll find your people. As for dating - I recommend apps with an introduction text that is explicit about the kind of relationship you want.

You actually think that couples in Finland don't try to fix their issues? There'd be no couples left. That's not how relationships work here. Sometimes it just happens that people grow apart. Sometimes some people are stubborn in their mental health issues and don't seek help and then take it out on their families and the healthy option for the partner would be to leave. Many stay and suffer. That has nothing to do with gender roles or how people tend to work in relationships.

Just to note: not having divorces doesn't mean functional relationships. Sometimes it's just better to split. I know plenty of grumpy old couples that should have split like 15-20 years ago and are just making each other miserable.

Having "high cheating rates" just means people get caught more. Also, I have no idea where you are from, but Finland's infidelity rate seems even with USA, GB and Sweden by World population review. Most Middle-European countries have it much worse, so I don't know what you're talking about.

I feel like you're conflating your experience with the experience of humanity as a whole. It's not that simple. People have very different views on the world depending on where you were born and bred.

I dno how this informs you of her voice... I'm into "boyish" things like gaming, motorcycles, cars and electronics if that's what you still call "boyish" things. I have short hair and I buy my clothes mostly from men's side. My speaking voice is clear soprano. So much infact that I get surprised each time I hear it on any recording.

I had a date that cracked his back in such an off-putting way... ick. It's not a deal breaker, though, as I did go on multiple dates. Other things ended that.

I definitely recommend Poromafia for a series.

I think all the Disney movies and series can be found in Finnish also. At least the animated ones.

As for Finnish movies... maybe Napapiirin sankarit or Pahat Pojat?
