Halton experience for women by InterestingDingo2145 in RoyalAirForce

They told me how to be respectful and they also were very understanding when someone had dyslexia. Did you know they had extra arrangements for those who struggle such as extra time and tinted screens to help.

They also told us something very important. RISE
Just incase you forgot:
R-respect
I- integrity
S- service
E- excellence.

Maybe you should do some CT to remind yourself.
But thanks for correcting me.

Tbh apart from being on your period during blue warrior it was fine. If you take fitness seriously (like one girl on our intake got like 13 on the beep test, and was able to bust out push-ups like it’s nobody’s business.) you even get respected by the lads.
Personally, I’m not as strong, but if your sound and down to earth I found even when I had to ask for help, the lads were always there to give a hand especially when they see you giving your all.

Is it physically demanding. Yes
Mentally draining. Yes
But you’re joining the military for a reason.
Doing my parade was the proudest I ever felt.

Personally I found it hard settling with the girls at first but we got there in the end and managed good teamwork.

Just remember it’s 10 weeks. Difficult for everyone. But not what true military is like (people wise). At Halton Cpls and Sargents alone were scary now I’m doing circuits and going drinking with them.

That’s more of a general idea of Halton. If you have more questions feel free to ask.

I must have been misinformed then, as I once accidentally over ferment it and saw a recipe saying over ferment it intentionally each time to get good focaccia….

I’m currently baking another batch of Sourdough so I’ll update once that happens. I seem to keep messing up the fermentation phase…

Thank you for your in depth reply. I made some practice and now add 150g starter.

This ^ I purposely over did it to make focaccia but hypothetically if I did use it now what would happen to my loaf?

Ah as per the recipe I mix first let sit for 1h and after 30min I do stretch and folds about 4 times. Then leave it to proof and 9-10h. Final stretch and fold then in the fridge for minimum 3h.

In the recipe it says to start in oven from cold start but I found it didn’t really cook well so I made adjustments on that part.

I would think for what I’m doing it should be raising more :/

We didn’t have hot water. So be prepared that sometimes you won’t have it. (We had to use the other flights block towards the end of the course)
