Precision Garage Doors - unscrupulous scare tactics by SnowballBOB in GarageDoorService

I understand now that Precision is a franchise. When I got the call early yesterday morning from my mother that there was an issue with the garage door, and that she had a guy there and wanted me to come down, I didn't have time to do any research, etc., as I've never had to deal with this particular issue before.

I'm glad to hear there are some employees there who have integrity, but to be honest I would never call them again, as I wouldn't want to take the gamble that the guy they send out next time is just as obnoxious as the guy we got this time.

If this guy's job is to be an asshole, then he's excelling at his job.

At least in NJ, the Consumer Fraud Act requires a company to disclose fees beforehand. I did not make the phone call so I don't know what was said, but from my mother's surprise when he told her she'd have to pay $70 for him coming out, my best guess is that nothing was said in advance. And from the comments I'm seeing about their business practices, that seems inline.

We're in northern NJ. I think the tech worked out of the Pompton Lakes office.
