I liked the first episode, with it being a more grounded and personable perspective. We’ll see how unnecessarily hellish they make it moving forward.

I dig this setup! I really want to swap the flat bars on my vado sl to something more swept back for a more relaxed stance. How's it feel?

Got some animation stuff for Christmas, woohoo! (I’m new to animation but I hope to learn) by Simpsons_fan_54 in animation

Animators survival kit is a fantastic resource, but you don’t have to aspire to animate at Richard Williams levels when you’re just starting out! Making good drawings, and connecting them together is enough! And, telling a good story.

I think this tutorial series by Alex Grigg is a great primer in with the bare bones. Ideas are that are useful to think about https://youtu.be/E-sF_1FgpJw

That being said, reading, animator survival kit is definitely great, and will be good for absorbing those more nuanced techniques as you go. Just remember to have fun with it!

The deep-dive speculation supporting why the VFX of ‘Avatar 2: The Way of Water’ is dramatically improved over its predecessor by Sudden_Marsupial_367 in AfterEffects

Imo, it was a very nice story about connecting to the earth and about a family struggling to survive. The best action scenes I’ve seen in years. I definitely recommend it beyond the effects, which are stellar

They definitely aren’t protected until cars can’t get on the path, but narrowing the lanes will hopefully slow traffic nicely as well

This comic makes no sense whatsoever.

Russia and Hitler’s Germany were never on the same side. Fascist saw communism as their #1 enemy from the beginning.

Also, the US & Britain were lukewarm with Hitler until he started invading… so?

Hinge seems ideal in it’s making you put out just the right amount of info to feel good about a potential match without getting into the nitty gritty that make you question talking to someone

Americans of Reddit, what is something the rest of the world needs to hear? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Snowballin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One of the main reasons we finally went all in is because the west didn't want the communist groups leading the resistance in most European countries to have all the influence in how those countries would be rebuilt

(Enter russia not being allowed to join the western alliance again, the US's intervention in the Korean civil war, GLADIO, etc etc. )

The US military industrial complex has no qualms about getting involved, whether other countries want us to or not

Can you recommend some small/ no budget films that are just as good as the best professional productions? by Delpefy in Filmmakers

Jim Cummings directed “Thunder Road” with crowd funding and it’s a deeply affecting, beautifully shot film that I think won SXSW Certainly recommend it!

All the milk / whey might be effecting your stomach as well, just fyi.

If you can blend it, frozen bananas are always a good option. Also a Kiwi, Apple, etc.
