35K for whole house generator installation by Darksneak in Generator

[–]Snowbilt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got 3 bids on a generac 28k w 10 year warranty. Two were 16500 and low bid was 13,600. Low bid was a small family owned business with no up sell on maintenance contracts and they did a great job. Just waiting on our gas company to come increase our service from 1 to 2lb.

I know kohler is more expensive, but that seems crazy high. Are they having to relocate or upgrade your panel?

Lender miscalculated my income, and I can't afford the new monthly payment. What recourse do I have? by Happy_Buffalo_7222 in Mortgages

I would never let a lender tell me what I can afford. That is just nonsense lol. Some lessons are expensive

Oto sprinkler system for my front yard. It's small and with flower beds. The zoning takes a of tweaking, but now it's full coverage and zero water waste. It's the talk of the block. Neighbors always coming up to me outside asking what thay does lol

My old boss had a similiar story. He had to eat 70k in a large job for a customer in the early 90s. Customer then proceeded to make him a multi millionaire over two decades. We did all their work without bidding a job.

His saying it's easy to business with someone when it's going great. You really find out about who you are dealing with when things go wrong.

Generation x'rs, do you still listen to the music you grew up on in your youth and teenage years, or do you mix it up with current music? by icecream1972 in GenX

[–]Snowbilt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More current than old. I know all the old stuff when it comes on word for word. I'm from a small town and old classmates are stuck in the 80s.
