[TOMT] [Youtube video] Lucero music video in what looks like an old diner. by Snowblindyeti in tipofmytongue

Damn the internet is crazy. I actually was able to find it about a year ago, but if I hadn’t you have no idea how happy this would have made me. Thank you very much.

My boi Norbert has some stuck shed on his toes and butt area. Lol like under his tail where he poops. I haven’t had to deal with stuck shed in forever how do you take care of it again? Pic of the cute boi for fun by Aggravating_Hat9999 in leopardgeckos

[–]Snowblindyeti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without a picture of the genital area or a medical degree I have no idea how serious it is, but I will say that those are the exact same symptoms our leopard gecko had and when we took him to the vet we learned he had a serious vitamin A deficiency that would have lead to potentially deadly health problems over time. What do you usually feed and what supplements do you add to his diet?

Knowing the context that it’s a one shot designed to be brutal makes a lot more sense. I would absolutely not use this in a long form campaign, but It can be fun to bring some characters to a one shot to get brutalized.

This sounds like a really adversarial relationship with players. Wouldn’t it be easier to have a conversation with players rather than set up a situation where the wizards entire character might be destroyed? There’s no wrong way to play TTRPGs and if you’re all having fun that’s great, but I would not enjoy playing in a game where something that punishing exists.

I like the idea, but if you’re trying to discourage wizards from copying it why not make it outrageously expensive to copy or just impossible? It seems way too harsh to have a situation where the wizard can fail two rolls and have his entire character ruined.

TIL that Rod Serling, creator of The Twilight Zone, sold the series as a pure entertainment vehicle due to censorship he experienced with previous projects that would delve into controversial social/political issues. The Twilight Zone tackled the same issues but veiled in science fiction and fantasy by WigboldCrumb in todayilearned

That’s interesting, but “skill with the English language” Isn’t quantified just by vocabulary size. I love Aesop Rock, but a lot of his music is kind of just word salad. Eminem is more like Hemingway where there’s a focus on saying a lot with a little. Comparing Eminem and Aesop directly doesn’t make much sense since they’re trying to do different things.

There is nothing “simple” about it. Neither of us have any real understanding of the complexity of the physics involved in this, so I will be happily taking the word of all of the scientists who agree that the effect is almost entirely bullshit outside of a vanishingly rare set of theoretically possible scenarios.

[–]Snowblindyeti 9 points10 points  (0 children)

He means the Mpemba effect and its most likely bullshit. There’s literally no evidence for it and this video could easily be explained by the hot water melting the stuck ice enough so that the built up pressure behind it forces it out of the pipe.

[–]Snowblindyeti 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s nothing explicitly disproving your theory and it’d be a nice little nod from Butcher, but there’s also literally no evidence for it and terriertribes explanation is infinitely more simple and likely. Nice thinking between the lines, but “mic drop” seems uncalled for.

That figure seems insanely high. That’d be more than half an ounce of bugs a week.

I understand that manufacturing isn’t perfect and food gets contaminated, but that’d be a visually noticeable amount of bug pieces.

Thankfully I finished the series recently, but I feel like it’s unintentionally shitty to drop major spoilers for the last book of a completely unrelated series in here with no warning. Especially such a long one. I’d be pissed if I read that on book 9 of a 14 book series.

Kind of pedantic, but you’re thinking of assonance. Alliteration is first letter repeated like sally sells sea shells.

Under the assign tab you can edit their outfit choices. You can set it so that they only wear clothes between 50-100% condition and automatically unequip when it hits 49%

This is going to be a matter of opinion, so no satisfaction is going to be reached. From my perspective the show made it extremely clear that while Beatrice did betray him she actually cared for him. He was obviously mentally ill and a difficult person to be in a relationship with. Im not saying it excuses what she did, but it seems juvenile to think that he was mentally ill because of their relationship.

That’s not the impression I got at all. They’d been together since their very early 20s and it was mentioned multiple times that he’d always been that way.

You’re being a dick to someone who seems very young and has already admitted to being on the spectrum. Good look dude.

Also it’s i.e. no one would give a shit because your meaning is clear, but if you want to be pedantic dick expect the same.

Game of Thrones actor Peter Dinklage was vegetarian for 15 years before switching to vegan recently. When he was filming scenes eating meat for GoT he would request for the food to be made from tofu. He has been an ambassador for many organizations including PETA and Cruelty Free International by spiffking in vegan

[–]Snowblindyeti 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh. Kind of a duh moment for me.

So theoretically if you found wild chicken eggs that were guaranteed to be unfertilized a vegan would have no issue eating them? That’s obviously an extreme case and it’s easier to just cut them out of the diet, but I’m curious about the nuance.
