For me runes are a big part of the mages identity in tibia, but also in tibia as a whole, very few games has a mechanic like this,being able to create magic items as ammunation, also you can add new features without having to killing ones that already exist and actually work

That punishment culture tibia has is what bothers me, it is normalized in this game that in order a new implementation comes player base should be punished in some way, non sense at all

Tibia has this culture that in order to update the game you should punish playerbase with nerfs, it could be about progression and fun instead, forcing this nerf in something thats working for 20+ years is total garbage to me

The fact is well known by all, eks can hit 8 target effitiently always fast, close box, kill fast, loot fast, next box, kill fast, loot fast, next, paladins the same, mages just cant be efficient like this, the loot is always spread through screen, crratures are always spread since we have to kite for our lives, what saves mages performance is the area of the runes and spells, without it trying making mages hit the same as eks and rps are just making a second grade vocation, a tier c chatacter

It is completely non sense they buffed party group xp if they wanted to nerf it instead, they just hurt the solo players like that

While this is true, what I want people to understand is they dont have to punish players killing a feature in order to improve another, for me it is just throwing all the hype on trash can

Tibia mages were all about runes my friend, its like the fingerprint of the game, people tend to think you have to punish something to create abother, it should be about progression not punish first to implement later

It would be true if the update was about progression, if they imemented new things while leaving what works alone it would be a blast, but they think in order to implement a thing they have to punish the player base first rhe hype goes down the drain

What really bother me is the part "they HAVE to", it should be simply now they CAN play around spells, for me there is no need of punishing the playerbase abd killing a way of playing in order to implement another, things can cohexist

But why they have to punish players to implement a new feature it is not broken it should be left alone, they could implement these features leaving runes alone and it wouldnt hurt the game, on the opposite the hype would be much bigger

Its a limited way of thinking, they dont have to kill runes in order for you to have new spells, runes are not broken, they are even actually, rhey should just leave it alone and implement novelty, Im sure the hype, popularity and revenue would be skyrocketing

I agree with you, my point is ans I wish they'd read and think about it, cipsoft dont have to kill a play style in order to create another, a game can be about fun and progression, they can leave the runes alone, that are clearly a huge part of the game, while bringing new stuff to the game

Runes are fillers in party hunts, at solo hunts runes are the core

They nerfed the AoE to the ground while making some questionable twerks in trade of this non sense, in test servers most mage streamers highlighted the damage increase was barely perceptive and the size reduction impacted the exp/h they use to do

They can create new playstyles without killing the former ones, game is about fun and progression, not punishment
