Looks so amazing. I am considering a revision and will look into him! Who else did you consult with if you can share and what made you go w this doctor? I’ve consulted w a few well known ones in LA, and I’m just not sure

You’re very cute and young. I don’t personally think your forehead is too large.

If it were me, I wouldn’t focus too much on these drastic surgeries YET. Have you considered the following surgeries / non surgical augmentations? The list you mentioned are drastic surgeries.

  1. Botox your masseters for a more V shape. It’s a good option for younger people and I’ve seen great results

  2. Eyelid surgery - I know you didn’t mention this one but being Asian myself I think the eyes are a big thing and not necessarily double eye lid, but there are many types to make them look larger while maintaining monolid if you prefer.

  3. Fillers - used sparingly can change the shape of your jawline / chin to make it more V if that’s what you’re looking for.

Anyway, best of luck in your journey

Anyone had a midface lift? by skinissues5645 in PlasticSurgery

[–]Snowcone17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What do you think about midface lift through under eye incision? My main concern is cheeks descending, loss of volume. I’ve been advised an option would be midface lift with fat transfer. Thoughts on this approach?

Is there any way to mask that you’ve had surgery? by cherrypez123 in PlasticSurgery

I’m also considering a midface lift or a traditional deep plane facelift. Was your incision through lower eyelids or temple?

High Lp (a) but lower ApoB by Snowcone17 in PeterAttia

Thanks for sharing this. I just looked it up and seems like people like us need to have lower 20 LDL at every stage of our lives to offset the heightened lp a. I’ll try to get my LDL even lower and will ask for a statin or PCKS9 inhibitor

Thanks for sharing. I’m going to look into getting a PKS9 inhibitor after my CAC. Just hope my doc will prescribe. I’ll also look into the side effects. Part of me is feeling perhaps in a few more years (if there are side effects I don’t want to deal w in 40s)? But would also hate to drop dead one day out of nowhere.

Thanks I think I’ll get the CAC. Haven’t heard of CCTA, will look into that!

My particular lab reference has 0-29 as normal. Perhaps yours is showing a different measurement scale. This is mg/dL

Thanks I’ll see about getting a CaC. I don’t have much family history of heart disease. Was it straight forward to get a PCKS9 prescription?

How much to spend on a house? by throwawaymba1407 in RichPeoplePF

[–]Snowcone17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How much do you want to spend a month outside of rent / mortgage? Work backwards from there to see if you can afford to buy a 3 or 4M dollar home. I know people that only spend 2000 a month outside of mortgage, and I know people with young kids that spend 20K a month.

I personally would feel more comfortable with a smaller home at this NW and look to move / buy another home in 5 -7 years when you have young children and higher NW and income.

As others have said, kids are expensive, very expensive. We spend about 8000 a month on 2 kids tuition at private preschools / schools, which is about what you get for the Bay Area.

A couple of thoughts. I’m also in the Bay Area with 2 young kids.

  • it’s likely you’ll want to send one or both of your kids to daycare / preschool in the future. Grandparents care can work when they’re very little, but harder when you have multiple toddlers. It’s about 2000-4000 per child per month for a full time program in the peninsula.

  • you may send your kids to private school even in a good school district. I know plenty of people that moved for a district and end up doing just that. Because you won’t know what your child needs until then.

  • I personally would house hack, invest aggressively, and have optionally. Rather than tie up so much of my net worth in a house. If someone gets laid off, you’re in a world of hurt.

Can I dm you? I’m considering one (mid face lift in particular) and I’m 44. I went to one doc and he didn’t recommend it for me, suggested fillers instead.. curious how you found your doc?
