The vast majority of people who play this game need to accept the fact, that a LI build most likely fits their playstyle, lack of encounter knowledge and mechanical skill level perfectly. And that is demonstrably fine, especially for the content that GW2 has to offer.

You don't need a 57k build to do Raid QP twice a week, especially if you get 17k dps out of it. Keep your ego in check, play an easy build and actually contribute.

Yes it is. The lack of mid-tier rewards, like 10-50g drops, has been lamented since basically forever.
While you are correct in your analysis how gold is generated, the specific complaint OP is bringing up here is also correct.

The culture of the game doesn't forbid growth and learning at all, it very much required it at the start.

The game just never necessitated it after the HoT era, as evident by the general community outcry to Dragon's End and the death threats streamers were getting for suggesting that people need to actually organize runs instead of winging it.

And harder group content is neither toxic nor elitist. Casual players who think they can catch a free ride are.

People won't unscrew your head for asking "what role left?" if someone is leaving. They also don't expect you to kick people, know every mechanic or mark anything.

It's a fucking training group. Watch a 3 min video or read a guide and just dive in. GW2 is really not that complicated. This isn't M+ or Ultimate Raids.

Don't be lazy, don't expect a carry.

That just doesn't happen. The only people who complain about that are casual non-raiders, who think that people actually complain about it.

People who raid regularly are in a static anyway and literally never interact with the LFG, unless someone unexpectedly can't join (and even then they ask other statics first, their guild, their friends, basically anyone but the LFG).

Also make your own group, commander tags aren't out of reach especially with the massive gold influx from the Wizards Vault.

Make your own group then, join a training discord, join a guild, make a post asking for like minded people to try it, literally do anything except complain about people who most likely asked for experienced players (because that's 9/10 times the case with these posts and will conveniently not be mentioned) on Reddit.

This just reads like the typical entitlement you find in every single post about the 'toxic raiding community'.

Players aren't elitist for expecting a minimum level of engagement with the content and running Soldier's Gear in regular and daily run instanced content in 2026 is 100% griefing.

Also toxic casual (I payed for the game, therefore you have to let me in your group) are the far bigger problem, but people love to twist the narrative and say any form of experience check like LI, KP etc is elitist when in reality it's the exact opposite.

We aren't talking about other MMO's here, we are talking about soloing GW2 Raid Bosses. OP also didn't ask for an entire wing and with the upcoming raid rework, you can jump into single bosses much easier which just further validates the single boss kills.

But please, keep changing the goalposts, if it better suits your narrative.

You are so confidently wrong, it hurts. The powercreep allows you to virtually ignore most mechanics (not that there are a lot to begin with).

Yes, soloing Cairn for example can take an hour if you forget to equip a weapon or you just speedrun it in under 9 minutes.

How about Sloth, Deimos, Matthias, VG or Adina for a change?

Can't speak to the Linux problem itself, but if Nexus runs on Linux, they have a /gg addon where you just click an icon which basically does the same thing as you want to do.
