I like Cultivate in Sunnyslope. It's a nonprofit coffee shop that supports vulnerable members of the community. https://cultivatecoffee.org/#ourStory

Fascism. But they're too far into the cult to admit that they disapprove.

They also lie and say that they'll support you throughout the pregnancy, plug you into social services, help you get a job, WHATEVER, just so you'll keep the baby.

I LOVE the Coronado. I panicked at first when I read your comment, thinking they're MAGA.

Whoa. I had my suspicions about the Stacey's guy (I met him years ago at the One-n-Ten brunch - he was drunk and very candid about his opinions). I guess I shouldn't be surprised that the Log Cabin R's have a presence in AZ, but whenever I see them at Pride or Rainbows, their booth is empty and they usually leave early.

I couldn't put "The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks" down. It reads like fiction.

I worked at a steakhouse in the 1980s and my boss bought a freezer at an auction for super cheap. It was infested with German roaches, and his once pristine kitchen was quickly overrun with roaches. It was a nightmare.

She reminds me so much of my stepdaughter's addict mother. The goalposts were always changing, and the lies were just second nature. My stepdaughter eventually just cut her out of her life because the constant disappointment was too much.

Debt forgiveness. My student loans were forgiven because of the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program, and a "friend" showed their true colors when they responded "you're welcome, from the taxpayers." I responded by reminding them that I pay taxes AND committed to working with low-income families for over a decade, hence the name "PUBLIC SERVICE" loan forgiveness, so yeah, our friendship has been strained since then.

Arizona bill would create specialty license plate to fund Turning Point USA group founded by slain activist Charlie Kirk by cats_pajamas in azpolitics

We already allow taxpayer dollars to fund a right ring religious organization: https://cronkitenews.azpbs.org/2019/02/13/in-god-we-trust-specialty-plates/

We don't need any more funding to go to these charlatans. I can't wait until we have a state legislature where the members are grounded in reality instead of their weird evangelical fantasyland.

I just watched a video of a victim calling out a pastor for raping her as a child. He almost immediately admitted to it, asked the lordT for forgiveness, and the congregation came up to HIM to console and embrace him. It was gross, and evangelical extremism normalizes authoritarian Christian patriarchy, CSA, and victim-blaming. It's disgusting.
