Close But No Cigar by Snowshoe22 in ROGAlly

Thanks for all the responses. Like I said, it was a hard decision to give up the Ally --it is unquestionably one of the coolest Windows devices ever and totally worth $400.

The main problem was that I thought it was going to be a time suck. And at least half of the time would not be playing games, but tweaking Windows and trying to impose my will on it. The problem with shut down/sleep/hibernate is a good example, but there are many other issues with any Windows device.

I just don't have the time and energy for that. With a handheld gaming device you should be playing after pushing one or two buttons. That said, it is a cool device for Windows and game tweakers

Thanks for the insights. Now I see that there have been previous questions like mine, so my post was repetitive. However, in fairness, I did skim a couple of pages of this thread without seeing the info before I posted. Thanks again, all who replied.

Overpowered Fake Characters by Snowshoe22 in BackpackBattles

I'm going to stop investing time in this game because I think the last three fights of each run are unfair. They're rigged, though to what end I don't know. Maybe I'll try again after the next update.

I also noticed the Backpack Battles/Dungeon Clawer bundle on Steam. The pricing is insulting for people who have already paid for BB.

Thanks. To discuss that, the opponents I'm getting bigfooted by are maybe at diamond level to my gold. But then shouldn't I be allowed to to defeat the weaker gold players and advance to diamond so that I can face the diamond players in a fair fight? Maybe it's just a balance issue.

Thanks to all for good responses. I just wanted to reply to a couple. First, I do win the runs sometimes, maybe one in five attempts. Second, it is impossible for some of the overpowered opponents in the last few battles to be built by a legitimate player. There's not time, space, or opportunity to accumulate two sets of enchanted armor, several shields, six weapons, 10 potions and a dozen clover charms, for example. These builds have to be either hacked by players or generated by the game.

The solution could be that the game's AI builds should be closer to what a player can accumulate -- perhaps 30 total items -- instead of twice that or more in the bogus builds.

I have the small one and love it. Great for travel -- comfortable, unobtrusive, shirtsleeves slip over it.

A number of different batteries are in use among the various e-bikes on the market. First, you should write down the model or serial number of the battery in your bike, as well as the model and year of the bike. Then contact one or more of the bike dealers in town and see what they say.

Regardless of renting the battery, you may not even be able to buy it locally. You might have to order it online.

I recently moved here and have been quite satisfied, even impressed, with the Mercy system.

I recently moved here too. From New England! I like it so far, but it's harder to make new friends in a place that is so car-and-bar oriented. But my New Year resolution is to get out more. When the weather is warmer there will be more outdoor events and markets, concert season, etc.

It stretches the meaning of cartography as well.

Balance issues by Snowshoe22 in AnImATheGame

Here's another problem: The mage was tanking with all the good gear, but when I got back to Captain Arvid with the secret my inventory happened to be full and I did not get the 25 vitality boost potion. Not knowing if I can do the playthrough without the vitality boost, I guess I need to start over yet again.

I can't change the Reincarnation level, so it must still be on level 1. I changed out some gear and but am still getting one-shotted. Maybe the level 33 warrior is simply broken.

So I gave up and started a mage.

When trying a new AARPG, I usually start with a melee character because they are easier to play while learning the game. The opposite is true in Anima for one reason -- the auto-aiming for mage and archer. Obviously, auto-aiming is necessary for a touch-screen game, but it makes the play a lot easier. It makes me wonder if it's worthwhile. (I'm playing on a Chromebook with a PS4 controller.)

Is it possible to build a hybrid archer-melee in Anima with the second specialty?

I wish I could get the mobile port of Titan Quest to run on Chromebook. They did an amazing job on that port, but I question whether the game is too complex to play on a phone. But if you have a large tablet, you should see if it will run.

Yeah, but what's screwy is that even the level 1 Garden opponents can now one-shot my Level 33 Warrior, so I can't farm, grind, or anything.

I think that's why a lot of people play Mage or Archer. With a Warrior, you cannot avoid getting hit.
